If a Group of 6 playoff was the answer, the top G6 ADs and coaches would be publicly advocating for it, and it would have happened by now.
The fact that the most competitive and motivated G6 coaches and ADs are not advocating for it should tell you all you need to know.

We're trying to force college football into something it was never meant to be.
It's such a shame that the National Championship has become such a singular focus in College Football.
It was better when we had a full bowl season. Each team could go out with a win. Multiple fan bases could feel good about their season. A good season meant more than did you win the natty.
It was better. Bowl season complimented the imbalance of college football far better than forcing a CFB Super Bowl.
Unfortunately ESPN and company are never going to go back.

If the P2 would agree to a promotion and relegation structure for football, this whole debate of G6 playoff access would end almost immediately.

“Anyone who says a G6 team can win a national title in today’s NIL environment is delusional.”
The real delusion is acting like a Championship has ever been the end game for 100+ teams in CFB. Since the BCS era began, 90% of programs were thrilled with a Conference Championship or BCS/NY6 win. Why is a national title suddenly a reason to voluntarily relegate yourself?

Thankfully we see G6 coaches admitting what we know is best for them - their own playoff. As a competitor I would rather compete in a real championship that I could actually win than get your butt kicked annually by programs that have 10x the payroll.

If you could add two teams to the Big 12 who would they be (realistically)?
Mine are Boise State and Oregon State

According to ESPN’s Playoff Predictor, if Boise State loses to Oregon State on 11/14 and wins the PAC-12, they only have a 25% chance to make the CFP.
If they win out, they have an 89% chance to make the CFP and a 14% chance to host a 1st round game.

Both Army and Memphis are favored by FPI in every remaining game this season.
Unless something truly unexpected happens, I expected the winner of Army-Memphis to play in the American Championship.
Recent history suggests this is an American Conference Championship elimination game.
Army and Memphis meet Saturday night with one conference loss apiece. Two high-powered offenses will meet in Memphis, where the Tigers are undefeated this year:

Sam Houston makes a change after a couple rough seasons. Sam Houston is a proud program that expects to compete for conference titles so they made the change
We're going to mark this one safe from GRUMORS but as always will continue to monitor the situation

This will be a part of a longer road trip that I'm really excited for
I will also see @BadgerMBB vs Delaware & @BadgerFootball vs Rutgers. Making my 1st visit to the Kohl Center & Camp Randall.
Timing doesn't work for a game but I am also hoping to stop by and see
O'Hara Stadium - @HardrockerFB
FargoDome - @NDSUfootball
And maybe more visits if time allows. Taking recommendations for stadiums to stop by in Wyoming, North or South Dakota and Minnesota!
