Graphic Video from Flydubai flight showing Pilot and Co-Pilot. Civilian pilots who were traveling as passengers took control of the flight and landed safely in Saudi Arabia. Miraculous escape for all passengers. Major terror attack averted.

There is a lot we can learn from Israelis in terms of survival instinct, social unity, and national pride.
Living in a difficult neighbourhood for decades has made them prepare for the worst, look after each other and take responsibility for the society around them. You can see it in the way people respond to emergencies, how seriously they take preparedness, and how much they care about the safety of others.

Israeli PM Netanyahu salutes Captain Machchar - calls him a real hero. Been speaking to pilots who have known him - two pilots say he has always been an extremely serious aviator, passionate about flying. Another pilot who flew with him describes him as always being an excellent human being.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.

It was a Kalava wearing Hindu who saved hundreds of lives and probably averted a cataclysmic war even as he lay bleeding after being stabbed by a Muslim man
A Muslim and a Hindu both followed their faith in this story. Only one is useful to the world

NEW: The pilot who was stabbed on the FlyDubai flight by his terrorist co-pilot was able to open the release on the cockpit door as he lay covered in blood on the floor.
The quick thinking allowed the Israeli passengers to storm the cockpit and subdue the terrorist, according to Reuters.
An Israeli official identified the co-pilot as an Omani national.
A second set of pilots on board took over and landed the plane. The pilots were due to replace the first pair after landing.
According to flight data, the plane "went into a spin" and plunged 14,000 feet in just 30 seconds.
170 Israelis were on board. They are now back at the Tel Aviv airport.
Praise God.

So the article's factual assumption is that child sex abuse is more likely or likelier in poor, non-general castes and religious minorities? I genuinely hope that's not the assumption.

Today in Silchar, an ambulance was halted to make way for my convoy. This is unacceptable, and I apologise to the patient and their family.
No Chief Minister's passage should EVER take precedence over a life in need of urgent care.
My directions that VIP movement must not disrupt ordinary citizens have been clear. That they were not implemented is deeply troubling.
I have asked the concerned officials to take firm action against those responsible and to constitute an inquiry.
Let this be a clear warning: the directives on the CM's convoy shall be enforced in letter and spirit. Anyone found violating it will face strict consequences.

The plan was simple, crash the plane somewhere over Israel. Since it was a Boeing 737 MAX 8, the blame would have been shifted to Boeing, given the aircraft’s already dubious safety reputation. The leftist media would have gone into full swing, blaming both the aircraft and the Indian captain. Thank you Captain Sumit!

It was a minor philosophical disagreement about how to fly the plane. NYT now confirms that it has been satisfactorily resolved after some passengers mediated between them.

This isn't a parody account. @BBCWorld actually reported it this way 🤡

I am sure of one thing.
If the plane had crashed, BBC & NYT would have blamed the Indian pilot.
And sadly, a large number of Indian liberals too.
In fact, this is almost a Tukaram Omble moment.
Had Tukaram Omble not captured Kasab, ecosystem would have blamed 26/11 on RSS.

Hardly any mention that the pilot is Indian. Instead, he is being described as “Emirati.”
Emirates does not confer Emirati citizenship simply because someone works for the airline. The UAE has a very limited naturalisation system, and the overwhelming majority of its workforce consists of expatriates.
If the pilot is Indian, why not simply call him an Indian pilot?
This is precisely where Western media often displays a curious double standard.
Facts should matter more than the label.
