Labour MP Alex Ballinger is the chair and registered contact of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on the Armed Forces. Over the last decade, the group has accepted over £800,000 in financial benefits. The vast majority of those donations came from suppliers of the Israeli army.

Humans thought they were so smart in inventing plastic that has become a curse as it is not biodegradable Yet Bees could already make plastic and not just any old plastic but biodegradable plastic Yet humans spend billions killing Bees to profit pesticide industry
Nature already invented biodegradable plastic. Scientists want to reverse engineer it. Cellophane bees make a polyethylene-like plastic that breaks down in soil within a year. A new PNAS study shows how it could inspire biodegradable bioplastics. anthropocenemagazine.org/202…

At the age of 17, David Garrard volunteered for military service with the IDF. According to the Times, the trip was the “start of a lifelong devotion to the state of Israel”. In 2015, Garrard gave Andy Burnham £35,000 as he attempted to take control of the Labour Party.

The uk government will pretend you’re £60 better off because of a policy, but will pretend you’re not £347 down because of another policy. And still tell you they’ve put money back in your pocket. @UKLabour @ScottishLabour #UK

If journalists like Courtney weren’t reporting from Lebanon we wouldn’t know that Israel is still killing people and demolishing homes. Because legacy media doesn’t care.
Report from Qantara, where Israeli forces are continuing demolitions of civilian homes and infrastructure. On Wednesday a man documenting the destruction was murdered by an Israeli drone strike.

I recently read: “When I hear ‘not all men,’ my response is: ‘Not all sharks either, but I still get scared when I see one.’” And whew. That’s it. That’s the whole fucking point.

Israel has detained our colleague, Dr Mohammed Obeid, for two years without charges. We are extremely concerned about his wellbeing. We call for the immediate and unconditional release of Dr Obeid and all other medical personnel in arbitrary detention. msf.org/israel-must-release-…

No offers for this lovely girl, can you please share to help her on her way? Connie is a 9 year old female cross breed. She is looking for a new home as sadly her owner passed away. Connie is best in a home without other pets as this is what she is use too. She would be best in a home without kids. Connie is chipped and spayed and fully house trained. She gets heart medication daily for her cardiac valve, she does well on her medication which doesn't cause her any issues. Connie eats butchers complete wet food, grain free and absolutely loves treats! She adores people and will jump up to sit next to anyone who visits. She is registered with the vets. Her owner's family have agreed to pay half of her monthly medication for the rest of her life. Connie travels well in the car. She walks well on the lead but will pull if she sees another dog. Connie isn't a fan of being groomed. She would be best with someone who is on their own or a couple looking for a companion. For more information please email [email protected]

So Palantir buying a Labour Lord was good value for their money after all. Cash for access. Stinks.
Palantir’s Tom Watson, ex-Labour MP, wrote to Yvette Cooper last month saying the controversial US company could help boost the UK’s tech sovereignty, letters show. Weeks later, sources say the UK is extending its NHS contract for two more years bit.ly/4zrbMYF

Totally shameless. From huge lengths of feed pipe (below) to microplastics abraded from same pipes by ricocheting feed pellets, the foreign owned industry in control of #ScottishSalmon are huge polluters. Clean up your act - don’t expect a pat on the back.
Beach cleaning serves as a great benefit to marine #environments and biodiversity. #Scottishsalmon farmers and staff from throughout the #aquaculture sector continuously do their part, volunteering at various beach cleans around #Scotland. Beaches such as Greshornish on the Isle of #Skye by @MowiScotlandLtd, Scalloway beach in #Shetland by #ScottishSeaFarms , Raasay beach and others have been cleared of debris, cuts of rope, plastic, rubbish and even interesting finds like messages in a bottle. Keeping our environment clear of rubbish and waste is detrimental for helping wildlife and the biodiversity that live there. This includes our beaches and coastlines around #Scotland. #MarineConservation | #BeachClean | #Aquaculture | #beachwatch

Of course he did. Palantir hired Tom Watson to schmooze his old pals. And he did. There is no world in which Palantir helps boost "the UK's tech sovereignty". We need to know exactly how @YvetteCooperMP made this decision, based on what evidence & what data?

Hugo is a 9 month old male Yellow Labrador.  He is available and looking for a new home as his owner has some health problems.  Hugo is chipped and healthy with no medical issues.  He is use to children and likes to play with other dogs.  Hugo has been to two dog training sessions and really enjoyed these. He sleeps in his crate at night and eats Royal Canin - Puppy Maxi.  Hugo is very happy to go in the car and loves treats. He is up to date with his flea and worm treatment and also registered at the vets.  Hugo hasn't lived with a cat but has been around cats with no issues.  He loves to play and roll around.  An active owner and someone who likes the outdoors is best for Hugo.  He would be suited to a home with a secure garden.  Hugo is a lovely dog and will make a great family pet.  For more information please email only to [email protected]

Late stage capitalism: A supermarket throws perfectly good food in the dumpster, pays its workers so little they can barely afford groceries, then asks customers to donate to the food bank at checkout. And we're supposed to admire how fucking efficient this system is.
