I don’t want “revenge”. I want the people who have been openly, gleefully destroying the country, and breaking the law throughout, to be held legally accountable and prosecuted, which is the bare minimum for maintaining a functioning democracy. Incidentally, I also want revenge

There’s an easy cure for this and it’s called medieval peasant-maxxing. You need to be building fires and playing festive carols. You need to be taking long walks, learning crafts and listening to stories read aloud. You need to be loading up on cheese and breads and pies.
It cannot be overstated how much your quality of life decreases when it gets dark at 5pm instead of 7pm

It would correct the sin this country has been living under since Ford chose to pardon Nixon. He chose to move forward and it set a precedent, both legally and culturally, that the president and his people are above the law and no one has meaningfully challenged that since.
some view the need for prosecutions of the trump rogues gallery as “revenge”, and don’t get me wrong i love some righteous revenge, but it’s a 100% necessary and practical step to take if you want any semblance of pretending you live in a society with a functioning government.

They’re all trying to flee the sinking ship and distance themselves from Trump. Weird, because they had so much glee about making everyone else suffer as much as possible through him and his power. Be brave and go down with your man.

Damn, are we going to get the same big magazine articles about the right’s problem with men or do the powers that be just assume that masculinity is inherently deranged and based on physical and emotional violence that they see it as normal and good when men lean right?
Every single element of their insipid masturbatory communications strategy was designed around what young men supposedly liked. No single group shifted more to the left.

Democrats need to start reminding folks of this ASAP. Go on the offense. Don’t wait for the bad stuff to hit and try to defend yourselves then. Otherwise, in 2028, voters will start doing stupid shit again.
One small issue though, the Big Beautiful Bill takes effect in January that’s going to fuck a lot of people & like clockwork, people will forget it was passed by Republicans.

If you’re a new Democratic US Representative or Senator you have an immediate job: Get your constituent services up and running. There are a ton of you in deep red territory and that’s the only way to survive 2028. You entrench yourself as deep into your community as possible

As Black people have been trying to tell them for DECADES. Mississippi is winnable. Alabama is winnable. Louisiana is winnable. ..but not without investment and not without Black outreach and advisors.
Democrats should make serious investments in the South going forward.

A lot of rats are going to pretend they didn’t spend the past few years whoring themselves out to Trump and it’s crucial not to let them get away with it.

There are a lot of landmines in Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” set to go off after the midterms when the new Congress is sworn in. Dems have to communicate that fact to the public and make tangible moves to mitigate damage and improve people’s lives

It’s just crazy how literally nothing can break the perception that republicans are fiscally conservative. It does not matter that republicans have exploded the debt and deficit every time for the last 50 years, people still insist they’re fiscally conservative
If the stock market crashes on Monday, it would cement a Democratic sweep on Tuesday. Ironically, a crash that helps Democrats win may be driven by investors pricing in that outcome, as Democrats will likely raise corporate taxes and be more fiscally reckless than Republicans.
