After suspending my campaign for US Senate, I relaunched my state PAC to support 16 candidates running for state House and state Senate. Today, it took me a solid 30 minutes to text ALL of them congratulations.
100% win rate. And a Democratic trifecta.

On Election Day, the American people spoke loud and clear: they are done with the corruption, incompetence, and callousness coming from the White House and the capitulation of Republican leaders. As I traveled the country to campaign for Democrats up and down the ballot, I witnessed the resolve of the people to turn pain into purpose, and anger into action.
I congratulate all the great candidates who ran fantastic races and the thousands of volunteers who made calls, knocked on doors, and ensured Democrats won resoundingly.
Now, the work begins to actually deliver results. The American people have elected Democrats across the country in federal, state, and local races who must be ruthless in using every lever of power to deliver economic relief for working families and hold this administration accountable for their deep-seated corruption.
The people demand nothing less.

You feel so much sympathy for moderate leftists trying to deal with the real left wing lunatics. Obviously AES winning Michigan in a year like this doesn’t tell you he was a good candidate! You need to look into the margins. But the far left doesn’t understand logic.
Even if we let them have Talarico, the average margin for progressives is 12.2. The average for centrists is 19.75. A seven point difference. This is going by THEIR chosen standard.

I take the lesson that moderate Democrats like James Talarico, Josh Turek, and Annie Andrews who break with the establishment on key policy issues do better than establishmentarians.

Pragmatic Dems: Need you to add inspirational and joyful to your repertoire.
Agitator Dems: Need you to add persuasion and empathy to your repertoire.
Old Dems: Talking points no longer cut it. Adapt or retire.
Young Dems: Don’t forget that old people vote in big numbers and will be your base if they feel seen.
All Dems: Work out your beef behind the scenes and be respectful toward each other in public. Antisocial behavior has been normalized. We need leaders to show us how to come together.

I think the inability of leftists to acknowledge the plain truths about the role of ideology in determining election outcomes is part of the badness of leftwing politics because a lot of what's bad about the left is downstream of poor epistemic practices.

you people are fucking terrified of *Kamala Harris*
all this is doing is motivating people behind her bc you look insane 😭😭
Well holy shit. What do you want people to do, Mehdi!? The left says that Democrats always lose and if we replaced all our candidates with leftists, we'd win across the board. The data doesn't confirm that. At least provide your own study that controls for all this so we can find the truth
So, this destroys the narrative that leftists do way better than moderate candidates. This doesn't destroy the narrative that the far left turns off voters. That's why AES denounced Hasan

There is such bigotry packed into this. Centrist blacks? The biggest centrists were white people: Sinema, Fetterman, and Haley Stevens turns out. Why do leftists love to single out blacks this way? And the obsession with AIPAC should be treated just the way you would an obsession with Mexico-PAC -- nothing but bigotry
