As someone who has been playing fortnite since it was released with the start of save the world and the release of battle royale this is my personal opinion on what I would like to see.
If they wanna make a good impression on the entire Fortnite community, [new and old] I feel that they should add a stand alone animation for how you see other people in game and then add a animation for the movement with the "OG Style Movement" and the "New Style Of Movement" as a settings selection.
But I doubt it will ever happen since @TimSweeneyEpic @epicgames @fortnite wants to have the game vibe coded, which I don't disagree that it will make things faster and get more business done for them to pump out more things, but with it being vibe coded I don't ever see it happening.
This is all personally my stand alone idea and opinion that could work, may or may not but it would be cool too see this implemented back into the game.
Found another one. idk why they gave all characters a generic wobbly run.
@Fortnite @JustTeddii @EpicTofuChris @TimSweeneyEpic pls fix
Personally even though I’m a fan of the old animations, I never went as far to do crazy things as some other ppl did .
With this being the only comment that any epic staff has made about the animations since 2023, I don’t think it’s ever coming back.
My apologies to the team members who got doxxed and death threats.
Replying to @Phyxorr
Seriously, not for me with that. Death threats and Doxxing to team members over anims, I'm not even entertaining the convo about it. Full stop.
I already get enough from the Ranked audience as is.
Not my expertise.
Esse com certeza é o maior downgrade da história do Fortnite
Here is a thread of Fortnite movement "issues" I've noticed (updating as I find more).
Some are fixable, while others are just inherent to motion matching. I really hope Epic brings back the OG animations (state machines) in Chapter 8.

7. Walking into a corner while swapping weapons causes the player model to distort
Thanks @BlazifyWRLD for the clip
6. When pulling out the pickaxe, the initial frames of the animation are cut off. Instead of looking like it's being drawn from behind the character's back, it appears to instantly pop into their hands.
// notice how you no longer see the pickaxe when "pickaxespamming"

Good thread. I was always preferred the original because it looked so goofy that it became the iconic Fortnite run. Also the character slightly leaning forward made it look like you were actually in a rush to get somewhere.

Took long enough for the OG movement guys to finally come up with a good argument and example lol
My opinion changed months ago. I wouldn’t say revert, but develop/mix something that fixes these issues without it feeling like a regression in the areas the current movement excels

I think that this is very cool Tim, but can we focus more on Fortnite and everything your game has gone massively down hill and your are getting insane amount of ideas and recommendations from the community on what we want to see.
All I ask is for you to make a difference in this game that we have been loving for the past 9 years.
Starting off with giving the community what they want. Like bring back the Original Movement animations but keeping the mechanics that have been added, and the reason I say this is because you change something that is a core memory of the game and you some how made it look worse than ever.
We were all really young from most of us playing the game and getting really good at it and we just want to see something that is original from the beginning. No new slop gameplay that is just repeating and never changing or looking back at when the community is asking.
All I ask is for you to try and help us out.
Thank you.

Why is Fortnite casuals hating on this now?
They viciously attacked anyone who wanted to bring back the old movement 😭 what changed?

Never quite understood why people kept crying about old movement until seeing this breakdown. Now I understand it was never crying, but a very valid criticism. Old movement was unquestionably better.
