Never doubt the internet. I generated a whole career by replying to a comment in a twitter thread about a Netflix series.

Smith's dismissal in Gqeberha: a top-edged pull of an out-swinging ball from the 7th stump line off Rabada when he was at 3, with Australia trying to save the Test (2nd last session)
Very out-of-character for him. So I took a trip down numbers-lane 🧵

This is how the American Political Circus works.
Algorithms and illicit movement of money and incentives defines who to hate.
Then, one side decides to hate. So the other side decided to defend. Now issue x, that did not exist 2 years ago, becomes the focal point.
Many issues co exist and compete. The one that wins the engagement and funding objectives succeeds to the top.
Now, everyone must participate. Even if you dont feel it or live it, you have to participate. Your political career depends on articulating a problem (in this case Indian immigration) that you dont agree with or live in practice (in Brandon Gill or JD vance’s case their wives are literally Indian women) so gullible masses can channel their anger towards it (instead of you) and you can profit in money or political capital.
In american political discourse, nothing is ever America’s fault. Its always the other- jews, muslims, the gays, the italians, the irish, the immigrants, the indians, the muslims, the arabs, the Vietnamese, the afghans, the iraqis, the iranians, the chinese, the russians-
You get the point.

There will be a breakup after which you lose your ability to love. That is when you become an economic unit and your sole purpose is to boost GDP per capita (nominal) till you die.
I can only laugh when someone who started following football post 2020 starts larping in front of me.
almost a decade+ ago while working in big tech i changed my visible title to "applied generalist" because this is basically how i thought about myself from the moment i was on the internet as a kid. i didn't jive with product management cuz i wasn't supposed to write code (ppl would look at you weirdly if you did this), & i hated the idea of being just an engineer because ppl would just treat you like a code monkey, & i hated being in design because ppl often just treated you as a pixel pusher.
legacy companies (which i now include big tech as part of) are still organized around highly specific roles like these + levels, & career ladders. i.e. your position in the hierarchy determines not only what you actually do but also how ppl interact with you.
i remember walking into meetings with VPs who didn't know how to treat me cuz they couldn't place me in a ladder due to my lack of an officially sanctioned title. & i absolutely hated this existence with a passion. being pigeonholed into a narrowly defined function felt like wearing a kind of straitjacket.
this is why the member of technical staff movement with ai companies is so damn necessary. if you as a company do not move towards a more general model like this, you will absolutely get left behind & alienate ppl who can perform across the spectrum.
Introducing Gnani Prisma v3.0, built for Indian calls that switch between Hindi, English and Kannada in a single sentence, run over busy streets and weak connections, and use brand names a model was never told about.

A lot of urban upper middle class Indians are now quite Americanised, but in the worst possible way. They are increasingly fat, speak in low IQ slang, support abortions, support high levels of promiscuity, and increasingly have no frame of reference outside American liberal arguments around WW2.
The American culture that you ought to actually imbibe is the following:
The discipline, thrift and diligence associated with the Protestant work ethic.
Secure private property rights, which are non existent in India.
Competition between businesses, which doesn't exist in India as we are monopoly or duopoly.
Scientific inquiry grounded in observation and experimentation.

Any argument from the incumbency that suddenly invokes “taxpayer convenience” during a protest is laughable.
“Public convenience” in Delhi is getting stuffed into the Yellow Line like a herd to go to Gurgaon for an underpaid corporate job that will soon be replaced. It is getting raped in the nehru place park.
You don’t have the right to mention the welfare of the public when you have never worked for it in the first place.
Say that you hate the protest. Say that you can’t bear it. Be honest.

A doesn’t know if B is worth betting on.
A has to decide whether to bet on B.
So, A will now find a C who has already bet on B.
C made a bet on B because D made a bet on B.
D bet on B originally because he thought A might bet on B in future.

the idea that your 20s are your peak era comes from people who peaked in high school or fell into lifestyle traps. belief that you must make it in your 20s or you never will is a lie
spend time around real winners and you realize the 20s are a warm-up for the best things to come

Definitely did not miss @StoicAngel_ .
Shit is bad when people don’t face social repercussions of being a racist. You can openly say anything to Indians on the internet at this point.
