Any society where people view joining political parties as the easiest path to generational wealth will always be plagued by corruption.

I don’t “do” politics. Yes, you do. “7 years in university” is politics.
“Poor healthcare” is politics.
“No ambulance” is politics. “One chance” is politics. “Kidnapping” is politics. Politics will do you, whether you “do” it or not. Join the movement: wearegst.com
Every single part of your daily peace is governed by politics. If you're holding onto a cracked screen because phones now cost millions or you can't buy shawarma without doing mathematics, you are feeling the real-world weight of state failure. Everything is politics.

lolz. I’m the son of Sheikh Folorunsho Faagba, HamauLlah, that you mis-wrote Hamaullai. I love Tijaniyah. My father was one and so were his Sheikhs. And my father is my only Sheikh, so you see. I owe him so much. I was a 12yr old boy learning مئة حديث when his personal assistant asked him that he heard that Solatul Fatih is equal to a certain number of the Qur’an. He was about 100 at the time, lying down in his bed. He quickly got up and said, “That’s incorrect, but Qul Uwa Llahu is like two-third of the Qur’an.” A lot of things he taught us, he’s been dead for years before I learned Hadiths to that point. As with most Maliki in our part of the world, they don’t often quote Hadiths. They just tell you the ruling. AlhamduliLlah, he taught me to always be on the side of the truth, not the side of Tijaniyah or Salafiyah. As for your claim I should be defending Tijaniyah, Sheikh Ahmad Tijani doesn’t need my defense. He was a great Maliki Jurist, and highly knowledgeable. He could defend himself, but not whatever nonsense you attribute to him and want to hold on to. His descendants—go to Morocco and see—are Huffaz and highly knowledgeable. They can defend their grandfather. When you say to not attack Tijaniyah, I know what you meant: it’s to defend any nonsense the likes of you imported into Tariqah because it should be like cultism. Where in my post did I attach Tijaniyah? The moment you dropped that your poorly worded and badly punctuated question, I knew you couldn’t be up to something sensible. If you’ve been hearing about my father afar and assuming he takes whatever, I’ve just revealed his secret to you today. He was not like that. But suppose I’ve been appointed the Tijaniyah defender-in-chief, as you’d love, is it that type of heresy you want me to defend? That nobody reaches Allah except through Ahmad Tijani? I mean, he’s now like Jesus? 😂 Jokes on you. If you ever ask if I’m the son of my father again, this app will not contain us.
Then he isn’t the one who should be attacking tijaniyah but rather clarifying the statement either it true or not or if it was actually written down by the sheikh tijaniy

The Red Wedding still works because George R.R. Martin broke the ONE rule TV never breaks. Main characters don't die like that. Think about what Robb was: - The Young Wolf. Never lost a battle. - Avenged his father. - King in the North. Had the Lannisters terrified. - The hero who was supposed to win. Every other show would have him escape at the last second. Arya arrives, the Hound saves him, something. Game of Thrones locked the doors and played "The Rains of Castamere." That scene is a masterclass in dread: 1. The band stops playing happy music and starts playing the Lannister song. Catelyn hears it first. You see it on Michelle Fairley's face before anything happens. 2. Roose Bolton's one line: "The Lannisters send their regards." He was Robb's most trusted bannerman. 3. Talisa getting stabbed in the belly first. They didn't just kill Robb, they killed his future. His unborn child. 4. Grey Wind dying outside. They killed his direwolf too. And why? Because Robb broke an oath to marry a Frey girl. In any other fantasy story, love conquers all. Robb chose love over politics and died for it. That's when we all realized: This isn't Lord of the Rings. This is war. And honor gets you killed. 10 years later, people still don't trust weddings on TV. That's how you know it was the greatest TV betrayal ever.
THE RED WEDDING: GAME OF THRONES DID NOT JUST BREAK OUR HEARTS. IT MADE US AFRAID OF WEDDINGS. Robb Stark went to the Twins believing an alliance could help his cause. Instead, what should have been a celebration became one of the most horrifying betrayals in television history. The music. The smiles. The doors closing. The moment everything changed. THE RED WEDDING. And the worst part? The warning signs were there, but the full horror still caught so many viewers off guard. #GameOfThrones

The greatest irony of Nigeria is that those fighting hardest to fix it are often those who can afford to escape its failures.

Cardano stake pool retirements are worth paying attention to.... As of Oct 31, 2026: • 3,283 pools retired since 2020 • 179 reportedly retired in the past year • 2,884 pools remain registered • ~933 produced blocks in Epoch 664 That raises questions about SPO sustainability. Based on the reported 179 annual retirements, Cardano is averaging roughly 15 pool retirements per month. That's an estimate, not a verified count for the last 30 days. Also, registered pools that didn't produce blocks aren't necessarily inactive. Several established pools are leaving: • ADRIA — retired Epoch 665 • CLAY — retired Epoch 665; ~5,681 delegator addresses and ~7.7M ADA remaining delegated • RABIT — retirement filed for Epoch 666 • SQUID — retirement filed for Epoch 666 The bigger question isn't simply how many pools are retiring. It's whether independent stake pool operation remains economically sustainable, particularly for smaller operators. Cardano's decentralization depends on viable operators, not just registered pool counts. Sources: cardanoscan.io/certificates/… supercardano.com/pt/pools cardanoscan.io/epoch/664

This was what I did to get over my math challenge too. In SS 2, I went back to JSS 1math textbook and started building from there. Self-learning. My brain as a 16-year-old in SS2 clearly better than as an 11-year-old when I was originally in JSS 1, so I grasped it better. Then I moved to JSS 2 math, then JSS 3, then SS1. All within weeks. I ended up being good in math. I did by going back to basics as an adult. PS: I never noticed Alex had the challenge he mentioned. I can't remember seeing any error in his tweets. Surprised Madam Oby considered it bad enough (rather than being a one-off typo) to give that advice.
A few months ago, my grammar was not particularly great, especially here on X. Then, one beautiful morning, I received a call from Dr. Oby Ezekwesili ( @obyezeks ) that changed that aspect of my life forever. She advised me to go back to Primary 3 and rebuild my foundation in English. She said something profound: Once you fix the foundation, everything else begins to fall into place. I took her advice wholeheartedly. I went back to study Primary 3 Grammar and Comprehension, and that simple decision transformed my command of English. I remain deeply grateful to @obyezeks for that invaluable piece of advice. Its impact on my life has been remarkable. But this experience taught me something much bigger about education. Many of us are struggling today, not because we lack intelligence, but because we are building on weak educational foundations. We keep trying to fix problems at the top when the real problems are at the bottom. Sometimes, the greatest form of progress is having the humility to go back to the basics and rebuild properly. You cannot build excellence on a foundation you have refused to repair.

Africa does not need another generation of leaders who are good at explaining why things cannot work. It needs leaders who understand how functional societies are built and possess the competence, discipline and institutional vision to make it happen.

To me, one of the best Snape quotes comes when he’s talking to Bellatrix before making the Unbreakable Vow in Half-Blood Prince. Narcissa has come to Snape for help with Draco, but Bellatrix doesn't trust him. She goes on and on about why she thinks he's unreliable and how he never seems to put himself in danger. She even brings up the Department of Mysteries fiasco and basically calls him a coward. Here are their exact words from Chapter 2: Bellatrix: “No, you were once again absent while the rest of us ran dangers, were you not, Snape?” Snape: “Forgive me, you speak of dangers… you were facing six teenagers, were you not?” That is one of the best clapbacks in the entire series. After all, those six teenagers were using spells like Expelliarmus and Stupefy. It's not as though the Death Eaters were facing some overwhelming threat. Even when the Order arrived, their objective was more likely to capture than kill, with lethal force used in self-defence. Bellatrix was talking as though they had stormed the Ministry and accomplished something extraordinary. Snape brought her back down to earth, reminding her that the mission was nowhere near as dangerous as she made it sound—and that it was ultimately foiled by six teenagers. I'm not sure Bellatrix could have hated anyone more in that moment, especially after learning that Voldemort trusted Snape with something involving her own family. It's not explicitly stated that Voldemort told Bellatrix about Draco's mission. Perhaps Narcissa was the one who told her. Either way, Snape knowing about it while Bellatrix apparently didn't would have been a bitter pill to swallow. She sees herself as Voldemort's most loyal servant, yet he trusted Snape with a secret involving her family. There's also this exchange earlier in the chapter: Bellatrix: “You are avoiding my last question, Snape. Harry Potter. You could have killed him at any point in the past five years. You have not done it. Why?” Snape: “Have you discussed this matter with the Dark Lord?” Bellatrix: “He… lately, we… I am asking you, Snape!” That exchange makes me question just how much Bellatrix actually knew about Voldemort's plans and how close she was to him at that point. A decade in Azkaban couldn't break her spirit, but ten minutes with Snape nearly did.
What is your favorite Snape quote? Why? #harrypotter
