One of the reasons a lot of pixel art games made by Claude look bad is that they don't render the pixels correctly You need to tell it how. These concepts work in any engine (Unity, Godot, Phaser or custom) Pixel art rendering practises: - Texture filter Nearest everywhere. No mipmaps and no lossy compression on sprites - Pick one base resolution (like 384x216) and only scale it by whole numbers. Fill the rest of the screen with black bars - Snap the camera and every sprite position to whole pixels - One pixel size for everything. No sprite, tile, effect or UI element scaled by anything other than 1 - Don't rotate pixel art at runtime. Use drawn rotations or 90 degree steps - Pixel fonts at their native size, with antialiasing off - Particles and effects on the same pixel grid as the sprites - Before any new asset goes in, put it next to a tile at 1x and check the pixel sizes match Godot: - Default Texture Filter: Nearest - Stretch Mode: viewport, Scale Mode: integer - Snap 2D Transforms to Pixel and Snap 2D Vertices to Pixel: on - Import sprites as Lossless, fonts with Antialiasing set to None Unity: - Sprites: Filter Mode Point, Compression None, mipmaps off, the same Pixels Per Unit on every sprite - A Pixel Perfect Camera set to your base resolution - Anti-aliasing off

Your coding agent is making product decisions you didn't know you were delegating. After it builds a feature, try this: "Compare my requests with the current implementation. Find up to three consequential user-facing choices I didn't specify. Show the evidence for each. If context is missing, say so. Don't change anything." Try it in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Lovable, or Replit. Use the same project so it can see your original requests. The agent may have decided whether someone can skip signup or what happens when a customer cancels. Your users won't know the agent made those choices. They'll just live with them.

Sometimes I get asked what my morning routine is. The reality of a morning routine in 2026 is that an email from an AI agent tells me who I’ve been ignoring. Then I ignore the email. Very disciplined.

Jung was right. There is a collective unconscious. Joseph Campbell was right. Myths and legends do constitute the fabric of the self. The soul judges a story’s truth by how closely it comports to the narrative templates that are part of our psyche from birth.~Steven Pressfield

If you do not know where you are going, any road will take you there. That is South Africa today. Voters gave us the GNU - a real chance to grow. Instead, ministers and parties are driving separate agendas. A wasted opportunity. South Africa should become the African home for the world’s companies. The place global firms put their African Headquarters, regional treasury, talent and growth capital - because it is easier and more predictable here than anywhere else on the continent. That single destination gives every minister one test: does this make it easier or harder for a serious company to base itself here? Permits in days. Licences in months. Ports and rail that move. Energy that stays on. Visas on time. Courts that settle while the opportunity still exists. We have the assets. We lack the discipline to make them usable. Countries that win headquarters remove friction faster than everyone else. The GNU can still do this. But only if the parties stop driving their own agendas and start driving toward one place. #ProudlySA

Commit to getting what you want so you will never have to see your dream being lived out by someone else.

I very much agree with Carl Jung, who said that transformation at the deeper levels happens in the presence of images much more than through concepts.~Richard Rohr, Things Hidden

In 𝘚𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘭 James Hillman writes that when we are beset by suicidal ideation we have to ask a psychological question: What is it within me that wants to die? That question not only yields insight but also shifts something in the psyche.~David Tacey

We are reminded by ancient counsel that we should be aware of getting what we want. Depth psychology echoes this: we could be getting simply what the complex wants, what the unconscious history wants, what the unlived life wants.”~ James Hollis, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵

There are truths, that are beyond us, transcendent truths, about beauty, truth, honor, etc. There are truths that man knows exist, but cannot be seen-they are immaterial, but no less real, to us. It is only through the language of myth that we can speak of these truths~von Franz

You think your darkness is the enemy. It is not. Your Shadow contains your capacity for cruelty, yes, but it also holds your spontaneity, your creativity, your buried joy, everything you split off to become acceptable. You abandoned the best parts of yourself to fit in. The Shadow is not what makes you dangerous. The Shadow is what makes you whole. Stop trying to be good. Start trying to be complete.

Steve Kerr says Roger Federer taught his Warriors team the secret to sustained success wasn’t outworking everyone, it was building a life around your craft you never want to escape from “I’ll tell you a great story about Roger Federer. We were playing in China with the Warriors in 2017. Roger was in Shanghai for the Masters tournament, so we invited him to come speak to the team.” “Draymond Green asked him, ‘How do you sustain success? How have you managed to win majors 20 years after you first won one?’ Everyone was expecting him to say, ‘I work harder than everybody,’ the will, all the clichés.” “Roger Federer says, ‘I get up every morning and I make breakfast for my kids. Then I take them to school and drop them off. Then I go practice tennis for about two hours, and I’ve figured out a really good routine where I don’t destroy my body, but I can get all the work in I need.” “‘Then I go have lunch with my wife. In the evening, we cook dinner together. The kids are all home from school. We ask them about school. There’s so much joy in the house. We put them to bed, and then I put my head on the pillow and go, “Man, that was just a great day.” And I’ve been doing that for 20 years.’” “And it was like, yes. That’s it. That’s the formula. That’s what leads to sustained success. He loves tennis. He loves his family. He loves life. It’s not outworking everybody and banging your head against the wall, ‘I’m going to be better than everybody.’ It’s allowing your natural talent to shine through with a work ethic, with a great family life, with perspective, with peace, with mindfulness.” “It’s perspective. It’s joy. It’s passion. It’s mindfulness. It’s an awareness that we are truly lucky. To get the most out of ourselves, it’s our daily rituals and experiences and love and joy.”
