unlawful deportation or transfer is a grave breach of the Geneva Conventions (Article 147). it's also a war crime under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, Article 8(2)(a)(vii) and 8(2)(b)(viii), it's a crime against humanity: under Rome Statute Article 7(1)(d), deportation or forcible transfer counts as one when it's part of a widespread or systematic attack on civilians, Fourth Geneva Convention, Article 49: an occupying power may not forcibly transfer or deport protected civilians from occupied territory to its own territory, "regardless of their motive." "forcible" doesn't only mean at gunpoint. moving people under coercion counts too, for example when ᵣussia is the only way out of a siege.

Russian forces have begun taking civilians from occupied Oleshky to Russia, apparently disregarding previously announced agreements governing the operation. The operations are being conducted by the Russian military, without American representatives or teams from either side’s ombudsman office present. Russia’s state news agency TASS is openly filming the operation. There is no indication that civilians are being given a choice of where they wish to go. No buses or other vehicles designated to transport evacuees to Ukrainian-controlled territory are visible. The operation raises serious concerns that Russia is once again exploiting a humanitarian evacuation to forcibly transfer Ukrainian civilians. The parallels with the evacuation of Mariupol’s Azovstal steel plant are disturbing. Once again, Moscow appears to be disregarding agreed procedures while controlling the fate of Ukrainian civilians.

‼️Update on the 22nd Package (and a request to NAFO) The Commission as you already may be aware, has decided not to include alumina in the next package of sanctions at this time however leave the door open for national governments to amend the proposed list during what’s called “confessionals” of national ambassadors. So far, Lithuania and Estonia have confirmed they will support adding alumina to the next package. Previously Belgium did so for the 21st package but we’ve not yet heard if they continue to support it now. The more national governments that support it, the more likely it will get added and create real momentum. So this is where you guys come in. We need assistance in contacting media across the EU, to request they ask their respective national governments’ if they support sanctions on alumina to Russia. If you fellas have any contacts in the media in your respective EU state, please contact them to ask that very question. Please let us know any response by DM to myself or any of the team. We need to make this map fully green!

Dear @elonmusk, look what the 'poor Russian conscripts' just did.
The fucking Russians struck the railway station in Dnipro. They literally targeted civilians waiting for their trains. So far, 13 people are reported dead and ten wounded. For fuck's sake, what a fucking state of cannibals.

The Russian PR opportunity is becoming increasingly evident, a Ukrainian delegation routed through Belarus, flown on a Russian government plane and taken through occupied Crimea. The very state responsible for creating this humanitarian catastrophe now gets to present itself as the rescuer. While still attacking power plants and energy facilities in Ukraine.

‼️ BREAKING: A leak has exposed ~41,000 Homeland Security workers, including undercover ICE agents. Wired found mobile numbers, ICE and CBP sites and groups tied to Palantir and Grok. DDoSecrets says it came via DHS's Okta login. Okta says it has no evidence it was compromised.

ICE and Border Patrol protect Flávio Bolsonaro, using umbrellas to shield him from being photographed. Trump’s government beats and shoots ordinary working-class people but gives special protection to international criminals tied to money laundering and human trafficking.
Flávio Bolsonaro fled Brazil in breach of a court travel ban, reaching Miami via Argentina and Ecuador. Reports link the escape to Argentine President Milei’s circle and a wealthy unnamed intermediary. Trump’s administration promised visas for his family.
