⛔️Ethiopia faces multiple active conflicts under Abiy Ahmed, including renewed fighting in Tigray since late September and ongoing violence in Amhara and Oromia. Recent reports confirm over 60 Orthodox Christians killed in Oromia attacks on Oct 20-24, with mass funerals in the video. ‼️ ⛔️Accusations of genocide come from some activist groups citing patterns of civilian targeting, though no international court has ruled on it. Multiple sides report atrocities amid the instability.‼️

Over 60 Amhara Orthodox Christians—including children and the elderly—were massacred in Arsi, Oromia, with homes torched and churches targeted. When Abiy’s government enables or fails to halt the systematic slaughter of its own citizens, it loses every shred of sovereign legitimacy. Ethiopia’s internal collapse is no longer theoretical; it is an active atrocity crisis. While innocent civilians are slaughtered in Arsi and rural corridors descend into mass graves, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is provoking Eritrea, Egypt, entangling in Sudan, and violating Somalia’s sovereignty via Somaliland. A state burning from within cannot be a stable regional anchor or Red Sea partner. While the US and EU hide behind diplomatic calls for "de-escalation," an ethnic and humanitarian catastrophe is accelerating in plain sight. @SecRubio @StateDept @US_SrAdvisorAF This is not “tension.” We are staring at the next Rwanda. #Ethiopia #AmharaGenocide #Eritrea #AbiyAhmedAli

The peace-loving people and government of #Eritrea opened their hearts and gave Abiy Ahmed, alongside other leaders in the region, every opportunity to build peaceful relations and create a stable and prosperous Horn of #Africa. Yet, after years of observing Abiy’s rhetoric and actions, many #Eritreans have reached their own conclusions. In Eritrea, he has earned a reputation as a weak, greedy, cowardly and driven by insatiable ambition — ሰነፍ፡ ሱሱዕ፡ ፈራሕ፡ ነዳይ. Had Abiy consulted Mengistu Hailemariam and the former EPRDF leadership, they could have warned him of a simple fundamental reality: whatever the circumstances, Eritreans will not surrender a single inch of their sovereign territory. He should never have mistaken Eritrea’s willingness to pursue peace for a willingness to surrender its sovereignty. Alas, Abiy has now mounted the tiger — and he may find that getting off is far more difficult than climbing on. He has manoeuvred himself into a dangerous predicament of his own making, where pressing ahead carries grave risks, but retreating or abandoning his ambitions could prove politically catastrophic. Eritreans fought for 20 years to secure the recognition and implementation of the internationally established boundary concerning #Badme. Anyone who understands that history should know that the question of #Assab is no less serious to Eritreans when it comes to sovereignty and territorial integrity. If Abiy believes #Eritreans fought for two decades over Badme but will simply surrender Assab, he has profoundly misunderstood the Eritrean people. He should have learned from history before embarking on this dangerous course. Eritrea’s sovereignty is deeply infused in every veins of every Eritrean and will never haggle over every inch of its territory. Here is the front page of Hidri magazine from May 2005. The headline reads: “No force can expect to live in peace by undermining Eritrea's sovereignty.” @hadnetkeleta @EritreaEU @biniamb @mamamesay @StalinTeklu @NeaminZeleke @EIshmael_ @Deee_luul @EmbassyEritrea @AlArabiya_Eng @trtafrika @cgtnafrica @AmbassadorEstif @EliasAmare @Ghidewon @TheVillaSomalia @SudanTribune_EN

Lidetu Ayalew, one of Ethiopias reknowned politician, says that, through his conversations with people in Abiy’s circles, he has learned how Abiy explains his plans during small meetings with his inner circle. Lidetu explains, Abiy’s plan goes something like this: “First, we will completely eradicate all opposition in #Ethiopia. After that, we will capture #Asmara, install a puppet government in #Eritrea, and take over #Assab.” The preparations for installing such a puppet government are already underway, as we can see it in #AddisAbaba. But Abiy's plans do not end there: Abiy's tells his inner circile: “We will then go and capture #Khartoum (#Sudan) and install another puppet government. After that, Ethiopia will enjoy peace for generations.” This is how Abiy explains his plans in smaller meetings, and there are people listening to him intently and applauding to this fantasy. Abiy is completely detached from reality. He is a fantasist and delusional. How can the leader of a country speak like this? We must therefore ask ourselves: how has this man been able to lead Ethiopia for so long? I have never been embarrassed to be Ethiopian, but I am ashamed of being Ethiopian because Abiy Ahmed is the leader of my country.

One of Ethiopia’s once-respected airlines is rapidly damaging its reputation not only through poor customer service, which we have already discussed and documented, but also over serious allegations of transporting military personnel and weapons into conflict zones. An airline should connect people, not become an instrument of war. If civilian aviation is being used to facilitate military operations, the public deserves transparency and accountability. Ethiopian Airlines must answer a fundamental question: Is it serving civilians, or helping fuel a war? The world deserves answers. Civilian aviation must not lose its purpose or its public trust to war. @StateDept @WhiteHouse @EUSR_Weber @antonioguterres @BBCWorld @CNN @AJEnglish @dwnews @Chinamission2un @franceonu @RussiaUN @UKUN_NewYork @USUN @BahrainMsnNY @ColombiaONU @RDCongoONU @Denmark_UN @GRUN_NY @LatviaUN_NY @LibMissionUN @PakistanUN_NY @panamaonuny @SomaliaatUN @flyethiopian #EthiopianAirlines

The Al Jazeera post is not an isolated threat. It is a direct response to a devastating internal war Ethiopia is currently losing. Abiy’s warning to Eritrea is born from desperation. His government is fighting a renewed, ferocious war against the TPLF in the north. This threatens the stability of his entire government. Threatening Eritrea with "extremely severe" consequences is a move of weakness. A smarter option would have been de-escalation. Ethiopia descending into utter chaos is a real possibility. If Abiy continues this trajectory, the country won't just face protests; it will face a "polycrisis" of interlocking ethnic conflicts, economic ruin, and political rebellion on a scale never seen before. What we could witness won’t look like Paris. It will look like a failed state: 120M+ people fracturing along ethnic lines, millions displaced, and a wider regional war drawing in Eritrea, Sudan, and Egypt. It is an existential threat to the Ethiopian state—impossible to reverse once it spirals. @SecRubio @marcorubio @US_SrAdvisorAF @AsstSecStateAF @UnderSecStateP @StateDept @statedeptspox @mfa_russia @MFA_China @ChinaAmbUN @antonioguterres @UN #Ethiopia #Eritrea #Tigray #HornOfAfrica #RedSea #UNSC #Sudan #Somalia #Egypt
