China has avoided alliances, but what the United States is doing to Iran and Palestine leaves Beijing little choice. The Dengists are losing internally and this is giving way to a whole new wave of Maoists inside the Chinese political system. They are young, (fashionable,) and they are done with trying to appease US imperialism. Kyoto University Symposium 2026: "Geopolitics in the Time of Monsters" Presentation 8: Sheng Zhang Sheng Zhang examines the competing traditions shaping China’s Middle East policy, contrasting Maoist solidarity with Dengist economic priorities. Using Palestine and Iran, he explores Beijing’s political commitments, trade relationships, public opinion and diplomatic constraints. He argues that regional conflict is challenging China’s balancing strategy and strengthening Iran’s strategic importance. The discussion considers boycotts, Gulf investment, energy security, generational differences and strategic patience, asking what might push Beijing toward a clearer position as regional power shifts and tensions with Washington deepen. The British Empire may be gone. Its military infrastructure certainly isn't. A 2020 investigation found 145 UK military sites across 42 countries and territories. Colonial outposts still project military power, largely beyond democratic scrutiny. declassifieduk.org/british-f…

€620m to Ukraine, meanwhile absolutely vital services to our future generations are to go without and be left behind, and grandfathers are offering to give up their dialysis so that their grandchildren can access therapy.
🚨 NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND THIS CHRISTMAS: SAVE LITTLE WONDERS! 🚨 Imagine telling a child with complex needs that right before Christmas, their daily routine, their friends, and their vital support system are simply gone. That is the heartbreaking reality facing 25 families in Monaghan as Little Wonders in Castleblayney faces closure on December 22nd due to HSE Ireland funding shortfalls. This is not just an after school or weekend service, it is a lifeline. It is where these children thrive, learn independence, and stay grounded in a safe, structured routine. It is where exhausted parents get the essential respite they desperately need to keep their families running. The HSE cannot pull funding from a service so essential to these children's development and well-being. Stripping away Little Wonders will directly disrupt their schooling, their lives, and their stability. We need immediate political intervention. We call on the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth and Minister Emer Higgins to step in, do the right thing, and guarantee these parents that their children will have a place return to. #Disability #ChildrenMatter #Monaghan @roinnslainte #EmerHiggins @NormaFoleyTD1 @TomClonan

What started as trade and cooperation turned into unelected commissioners rewriting national law, punishing governments that refuse to line up, and selling every new power grab as "European and democratic values". The EU is not a union of free countries. It's a TOTALITARIAN system calling itself a democracy.

Europe and North America are clearly on a declining trajectory, but that does not mean that have given up on their designs for World Domination. Something far more dangerous is going on. Kyoto University Symposium 2026: "Geopolitics in the Time of Monsters" Presentation 4: Nel Bonilla Nel Bonilla challenges the assumption that Western decline necessarily leads to collapse or a peaceful multipolar order. Drawing on Antonio Gramsci, she examines how weakened legitimacy can coexist with coercion, institutional survival and the obstruction of alternatives. Her account of the bunker state connects austerity, militarization and elite power. The Kyoto Symposium discussion considers European dependence, competing interests and the fragmented forces opposing the existing order, asking what shared political language, organization and institutions might make meaningful systemic change possible. Like most of @FineGael and of course 'Young' FineGael, McEntee supports Israel, simple as that. She wants Ireland in the EU army NATO-Israel alliance to clear Lebanon of Hizbullah for Israel. It is that simple. We should have known. Zero UN mandate, just #FrauGenocide dictat.

Ukrainian Democracy at work. Look hard at what the future of EU looks like.
The trial of 49-year-old Valentyna Moloda has begun. Her alleged crime? Exposing what appears to be a secret Azov detention facility near Kyiv, where mobilized men and military deserters were reportedly held and possibly beaten. But here's the beauty of Zelensky's much-celebrated “democracy.” Those who struck a 14 y.o. child with a shovel and beat him? Not on trial. The far-right thugs who assaulted a UNIAN journalist and other protesters? Not on trial. Those responsible for beating four men who, thanks to Valentyna, finally received medical attention? Not on trial. But Valentyna Moloda? SHE is the one being dragged before a judge. Apparently, exposing abuse is a greater offense than committing it. Welcome to Zelensky's version of democracy — proudly bankrolled by Brussels. And remember, ladies and gentlemen in Europe: this is what your governments keep telling you you're paying to defend.
