So make it 16 or 17 or 18 if 20 or 25 results in massive layoffs the whole concept is to learn from the experiments and iterate If the price increases 1-2% for consumers, or 3-5%, it’s not material when faced with the bottom members of our society being able to earn a minimum viable wage.

If he gets results, almost no one who voted for him cares if it is ego driven. There has to be something off to want that job anyway. If we continue on the road we are on, someone so much worse will come along and get in that office. You have been warned.
You are so deluded. His ego drives everything he does. It's been that way his whole public life. Everything is centered around him. You just thought you could use him for your own ends. It's always been about his ends.

I sympathize but the social pressures needed to get there are something very few desire at this point.
What responsibility do the users of drugs take for the drug problem? If I see a drug dealer in my neighborhood I have no desire to buy/use whatever drug they’re selling. Assuming everyone in my neighborhood was the same there’s no drug problem even if the dealer is there

No normal person wants that job. Also, ranked choice is a stupid cope.

"There is actually no such thing as atheism. There is no such thing as not worshipping. Everybody worships. The only choice we get is what to worship. And the compelling reason for maybe choosing some sort of god or spiritual-type thing to worship is that pretty much anything else you worship will eat you alive." ~ David Foster Wallace, This is Water

Policy big brains likely see this and stir the pot divide et impera style. Waiting for the next tech leg up. Of course while maintaining their position. Wishful thinking 🤔.

Great thread. Don't discount the possibility of internal strife leading to federation, which can negate the aggregate of value of these gifts. It's the contiguity of these properties that yields the value, but it's the people that need to hold it all together to see it realized.

It does not matter at all whether Putin sells energy for dollars, euros, or yen. What matters is where reserves are held. Currencies are usually fungible. But the US has weaponized reserves. China concerned too. This will backfire on the US IMO mishtalk.com/economics/what-…

It's clever but I don't have words for how much I hate this.

I realize you really want this to be correct. Livelihood of the authors depends on it - making for a significant conflict of interest. If this paper is corroborated over the next few years then congrats. But if you are wrong or "tweaked" the data.....

Tax collections are one of few accurate and near real economic measures. Watch out if gov stops sharing.
Lee Adler reminds us pay attention: Federal tax collections plunged in May, an alert that US economy fell sharply liquiditytrader.com/index.ph…

40 years of the status quo USD system has left US policymakers that were born on 3rd base and thinking they hit a triple actually believing that the real value in money is the printing press, not the energy in the system.

What happened today to @JussieSmollett must never be tolerated in this country. We must stand up and demand that we no longer give this hate safe harbor; that homophobia and racism have no place on our streets or in our hearts. We are with you, Jussie.
Jussie Smollett, one of the stars of the television show “Empire,” was attacked in Chicago by 2 assailants who yelled racial and homophobic slurs. The incident is being investigated as “a possible hate crime,” according to the police. nyti.ms/2G9ab24
