In the runup to the election, I was part of a group of Jewish Democrats in Michigan who had to make a choice. Passions were running high, arguments ensued, but at the end of the day, we decided to support @AbdulElSayed
The response on this platform was immediate, but in too many cases, it was filled with vile, Islamophobic responses. I was called a Nazi and (ironically), a Jew-hater.
So instead of lashing out, I invite you to watch this two-minute video posted by @peterdaou After watching it if you can't at least understand that Abdul is a smart, considerate human and not a terrorist, then I can't help you. But I hope you are open-minded enough to see what we see.
I'm glad this awful election is over, but I'm just as glad to embrace a better future with Abdul in the Senate.

The midterm results send a clear message: How we show up in the world affects our lives at home, and Americans understand that. When we alienate allies, appease autocrats, impose arbitrary tariffs, and drive needless conflict, American families pay the price.
