*sigh* because the British press hasn’t spelt this out I will. (Is it spelled or spelt?)
Anyway … The EU believes its law takes precedence over Poland’s sovereign law (even its Constitution, wherever EU law applies)
Poland’s Constitution says it is the SUPREME law of the country (I agree)
Now Donald Tusk’s is battling his own people over control of Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal, with police on the streets and the court’s leadership removed (because they disagreed with the EU’s position).
the European Commission is, of course, backing Tusk on the appointment of judges. ( as long as they agree with the EU position)
Brussels insists the Tribunal must respect rulings of the EU Court of Justice (because they believe their rule is superior to sovereignty)
AND They dare to call this “defending the rule of law”
And THIS ladies and gentlemen is why I voted to leave. You’re welcome 🔥

"UK to fund poorer EU countries in new Brexit deal"
The shakedown continues... 🙄
Why on earth should the right to trade energy with the EU be contingent on the UK providing development aid to poorer EU countries?
Would, say, Canada pay tribute to the US in this way?

They're just driven insane by their inability to argue their case. So they want to kill everyone.
Scott Galloway calls Elon Musk a "traitor to the West" and invokes the executions of the Rosenbergs after WW2.
"We lined up the Rosenbergs against a wall. This is a traitor to the West, and he should be held to the same standards as every other traitor in the West."
*Applause*
These people are absolutely unhinged.

If you are a sane, rational person who can perform simple maths and cares about the economy of their country and the future of the people within it, then you should be livid with the government this morning.
There is no part of the proposed EU reset terms, that you should be remotely happy about. The entire deal is giving the EU what it wants, and dressing it up as a benefit for the UK when it is anything but.
- Promising to not deport EU criminals
- Paying billions a year to build infrastructure in Eastern Europe
- Subsidizing EU students to study in the UK, costing hundreds of millions a year
- Putting UK laws in the control of the EU again, with no say at all from Parliament
- Adding hundreds of millions of costs onto imports from non-EU countries
- Making imported EV cars 30% more expensive, to help EU car manufacturers
- Giving 80-100,000 extra youth visas a year, increasing competition and driving down wages for our unemployed youth
- Stopping checks on imported agrifoods, increasing risk of diseases currently rampant in EU livestock entering the UK
All of this with the reason of making exporting food to the EU easier, which we do virtually none of and never did, as we are an island that consumes more than it produces.
It doesn't matter if you ultimately want to rejoin the EU or not. This isn't about that. This is about an atrocious deal and our atrocious government.
Fight this with everything you've got.

Imagine telling your family that money is tight.
So, you increase your spending, borrow more, & tell everyone they need to work harder to pay for it.
Then you congratulate yourself on making the difficult decisions.
You'd be laughed out of the room.
Why do we allow it from the Government?

Here's @EmmaforWycombe
She's a @UKLabour MP and the Chief Secretary to The Treasury.
She's NEVER had ANY employment beyond lobbying and politics.
She's the moronic airhead who recently declared that employers aren't working people.
She knows absolutely NOTHING about business, commerce or hard graft.
Her hands are as soft as fairy dust, she's never had dirty finger nails and her arse has been moulded to the shape of whichever "chair" she's been appointed to during her "career" of avoiding doing any actual work.
She has no grasp whatsoever on how this country is kept afloat by it's millions of small businesses and it's business owners.
She's an absolutely clueless waste of space. Totally out of her depth. An empty vessel with no hope of EVER understanding the endeavour, courage, entrepreneurial spirit and downright tenacity of millions of us who run businesses in this pitiful country that people like her have ruined through sheer incompetence, ignorance and indifference for the working people who foolishly voted for them.
She perfectly sums up what's wrong with a system that promotes useless failures to lofty positions of power and encourages them to stamp on the heads of the people who truly care about this country and it's citizens and are prepared to get off their arses to do something about it.

Are you speaking to me, ignorant one?
As for socialism, it is a system of collectivism based on the idea that people are entitled to have the state steal for them.
Yes, I know that's not how you define it. We don't care how you define it. We're done playing your semantic games.
I spent high school reading and studying Marx. It was that sort of country. What I learned was that he was a specious little turd, work shy, spiteful, and running on envy of everyone who had more than he.
And his followers are exactly the same, but with added brainlessness and less talent for demagoguery.

Things in Western Europe will improve when a few hard realities are understood:
1. Europe has no God-given right to be wealthy or stable. Things can & will decline and fall apart if not maintained and adapted to new realities. Things that worked in the 1970s may be counterproductive now.
2. Energy is the basis of the economy. Without it, nothing else matters. While efficiency will be important, any economy where energy is scarce will inevitably be one that struggles
3. Not all cultures are equal. Some create prosperity, some lead to misery, some are outright evil. If Europe doesn't accept this, the cultural basis of its previous success & prosperity will be destroyed forever
4. Have kids, or die out. In the long term, few things matter this much. You can't create a European future if there are no Europeans left for it, and as the experiences of the last few decades show, non-European immigration simply makes Europe culturally less European - and doesn't magically make these people culturally European.
5. The state can not - and should not - save every individual from him/herself from him/her bad choices or ineptitudes. The idea of a nanny state which can ensure that everyone always live comfortably with minimal effort & contributions 100% of time is not feasible. The socialist promises of 30 years of wealthy retirements for everyone and Europe being able to take on endless low skill immigration were lies.
6. If a society has no way for ambitious & creative people to get rich from working hard, everyone will get poorer because of it. The hard truth is that much of our economic future depends on businesses being built & transformed by ambitious & sometimes ruthless individuals. Not everyone is able or willing to do this, and without them, there is no one to employ others and no wealth & growth to tax. But if businesses & wealth are seen solely as an evil force to be taxed into oblivion, they will go elsewhere.
7. In some cases, the best way for society to deal with a criminal is to lock them up and throw away the key. A small percentage of humans are ticking time bombs - low IQs, high aggression potential, psychopathic traits, socialised into criminal structures or a culture of lawlessness. Society can't fix them. They go in and out of court rooms and across Europe states, NGOs & social workers waste billions of hours & Euros to try & fix the unfixable. Not least because of mass immigration from dysfunctional societies, our legal systems & high trust societies built on principles such as the benefit of the doubt & correction via socialisation are overwhelmed by the amount of aggressive young men with no interest to contribute to society.
All of this is fixable. But the first step is accepting reality.

Most people on the Brexit side of the debate are pragmatic.
We are glad the UK & EU have a strong trade deal. And if trade can be made even easier, then great.
But the simple, absolute red line is this:
The EU should never unilaterally decide what UK laws should be.

"Partly funded by slavery"?
Britain's industrialisation was ultimately driven by native innovation in engineering, smaller-scale provincial enterpreneurs supported by family networks, and the strategic use of local savings disconnected from colonial fortune.
Do some reading.
Britain should apologise for slavery & pay reparations. Our wealth today is based on the industrial revolution - partly funded by slavery
But the leaders of African nations whose kingdoms sold their own people to British slavers should also apologise
