Headline drops today. 10 groovy, soulful tunes played by actual humans.
Produced by the incredible Denny Hemingson (Tim McGraw’s guitarist and bandleader) and featuring Billy Nobel, David Santos, and Grammy-nominated Wendy Moten. I’m on vocals, guitar, tenor sax and horns, and we hope you dig it.

Did you know that within 6 months, the FDA could legally establish a policy for the labeling of all ingredients and contaminants in our food? It could be done. You could (and should) KNOW whether there are pesticides or heavy metals in your food. But do they have the courage to tell us the truth?

This is the amazing Mary Ruddick and she was a guest on one of my favorite all-time podcasts on Peak Human, hosted by @FoodLiesOrg
Mary battled debilitating autoimmune/nervous system disorders she claimed her doctors described as "incurable." But she overcame them while focused on a diet of nutrient dense ancestral soups.
She is the one who gave me the idea of doing weeklong bone broth fasts and bone broth and egg fasts. I've even done a week of soup fasting and all of them led to about 5 pounds of weight loss without serious hunger. Broth is extremely filling as you all have may have heard me say.
Mary has traveled the world and stayed with half a dozen indigenous peoples, including the Hadza and Maasai, and her keen observations on their lifestyle and health are fascinating and well told. She's very easy to listen to and I highly recommend you checking her out.

What I learned this week….
Forward-leaning food, ag, and health companies are waking up to a new kind of existential risk: the speed of innovation has outpaced their org charts. The real disruption won’t come from a new seed, sweetener, or supplement, it’ll come from Nvidia and OpenAI teaching incumbents how to rearchitect the value chain.
AI is compressing the time between insight and implementation. In the same way, capital markets fund new code through GPUs, it will soon fund new better-for-you foods through data.
The consumer isn’t the enemy. They are RFKjr, a quirky early adopter demanding better health and a longer life. Bitcoin mining before AI compute. The companies that see this shift not as a threat but as a coordination challenge will survive. Everyone else will be optimized out of the equation.
AI may turn out to be the invisible hand Hayek and Shannon were waiting for, one trained on nutrient data and human biology instead of prices. Leveraged into a tool set that lets pharma, healthcare, food, or agriculture solve for health and longevity - reshaping the nature of the supply chain and its value.
1) People with families want more bedrooms and distinct rooms. Those without kids want open floor plans. Creating another wrinkle in the housing shortfall beyond the polarism of YIMBY/NIMBY
2) The City of Irvine, CA, was incorporated in 1971; however, prior to that, the area was primarily farmland and a sheep ranching operation on the Irvine Ranch. Is there a venture market for creating cities?
4) Venture capital is now a GPU credit market. The velocity of capital depends not on interest rates but on computing access. A single Nvidia allocation is now worth more to a startup than a $10M term sheet.
5) AI fundamentally rethinks how to harness mature technologies rather than replacing them. A bit similar to how lean manufacturing improved Toyota. But Lean did not invent new products. Does AI protect incumbents from product innovation?
6) Bitcoin’s proof-of-work infrastructure accidentally built the real estate and energy scaffolding for the AI era. The miners didn’t fail, they just pre-built the datacenters. Porn did the same thing for YouTube.
7) Waymo reduces vehicle-to-vehicle crashes, bodily injury claims, pedestrian injuries, and property damage claims each by more than 90%. Why are cities trying to ban them? Red states ban life saving vaccines. Blue states ban life saving driverless cars.
8) The real measure of prosperity isn’t productivity per worker, but entropy reduction per watt. AI, agriculture, and healthcare all converge on the same goal: how efficiently we convert information into order.

While DC debates shutdown politics and VCs chase shiny health tech, I just spent the weekend on a Texas ranch watching the future of American health unfold in real-time.
At Sovereignty Ranch’s first Food Is Medicine weekend, leaders from rural hospitals, church groups, investors, and farmers came together to answer How, not if or when, we bring food-as-medicine into communities. These aren’t tech conference attendees, but grassroots operators ready to lead transformation.
The $4.5T chronic disease crisis isn’t solved in hospitals, it’s solved in soil, farms, and grocery stores.
Infrastructure exists: The supply chains that created metabolic disease can fix it. Economics are aligning.
Early adopters are pushing demand, but institutions must catch up.
This is the largest market transformation in health history, happening from the ground up.
Ellen Brown and I share deep-dive analysis weekly on Food is Health – join 1,400+ investors, founders, and operators reading the Substack for advance insights into how food, agtech, and venture are reinventing health.

For four years, my husband, @DavidBaszucki, and I have dedicated resources to advancing metabolic therapies for mental health, like the kind that helped our son, @BaszuckiMatt, recover from a serious illness.
During this time, we worked hard to stay in our lane and remain focused on mental health. I vowed not to dilute our efforts by taking on too much. But sometimes, taking on too much is the only reasonable path. The body and brain are not separate. Americans are facing both a mental and physical health disaster, and we feel compelled to step up to take on this larger challenge.
Today, our family is committing $50M to combat America's broader health crisis. The launch of @metcoalition, the Coalition for Metabolic Health, represents our commitment to reversing the chronic disease burden of America's adults and children. We vow, today, to do our part to make the next generation of Americans the healthiest in history, and we believe this goal is within reach.
We are honored to bring together experts who have been fighting for decades to bring metabolic health to the mainstream. We are in their debt for their tireless efforts, which we are now dedicating ourselves to supporting and amplifying.
Join us in this mission by following CMH on social channels and sharing this announcement. We have nothing if we do not have our health, and we are all in this fight together.

The old regime at the FDA, backed by Big Pharma, is fighting to ban peptides and block compound meds.
The goal isn’t to protect your health,
it’s to protect corporate profits.
This fight isn’t just about medicine, it’s about freedom of choice. We’re fortunate to have advocates like @SecKennedy and @DrMakaryFDA who’ve spoken up for medical freedom. Now more than ever, the American people need that leadership in action.

True and there are even more good and affordable options
I’ve met Bryan Johnson a few times and he’s a perfectly nice guy
My main problem is he’s tricking millions into thinking a good diet requires meticulous tracking and a huge list of supplements & expensive products he sells
In reality you can just include a bunch of meat & eggs and avoid processed foods

💊 Big Pharma’s business model = perpetual revenue growth.
Pfizer’s own investor reports show yearly targets to increase profits — not to improve public health.
If a population became truly healthy, their sales would collapse.
That’s the conflict of interest no one talks about.
If your “healthcare” system’s success depends on you staying sick… is it really healthcare?
