A new study estimates 75% of former NFL players who died between 2008–2023 had CTE. What comes next?
@DannyWuerffel, former NFL QB and Heisman Trophy winner, believes difficult news can motivate us to come together, advance research, and make a difference.
The findings are sobering. The work continues.

There really is nothing in the new Big 12 rules preventing false flag operations from fans on the road. Would not actually be that surprised to see an increase in this behavior as a result of the policy.

The G6 will never voluntarily make their own separate playoff and give up CFP access.
But an NIT-like event for non-CFP G6 teams has been informally discussed for years.

There’s a good bit of really folks over at @On3 but this kind of stuff tends to be the trend with the national website. It’s crazy to see in real time, but some of the folks on the national desk have a narrative they like to push and they put said narrative behind a paywall with clickbait headlines.
My wish is that @ShannonTerry would hold his writers to a higher standard, instead of going down the road of narrative pushing behind a paywall but here we are. I have respect for Shannon for his business mindset, it’s pretty impressive, but this kind of slop does no good for G6 football. Whatever happened to the days of, it’s all college football, and whoever wins a natty wins a natty.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.
Okay this is AWESOME
Good move by UNC to have trick or treating set up on the concourse on Saturday night. Those who have tickets to the game and little kids can bring them and they can trick or treat. Cool stuff.

This is one of the most illegal bills I think ive ever seen both in its wording and language as well as the efforts around getting it passed.
Which is impressive considering what the NC government tried to do a few years back with the budget.
Latest for @FOS
Hours before endorsing the Protect College Sports Act the SEC received a memo from a GOP staffer that ended with
“After the election, because of who is likely to win the House, you won’t see this bill…being considered The asks from the Democrats begin with employee status, collective bargaining rights, and end with private right of action. Let’s get this done.”
