After strong consideration and strong public demand, I've decided to make it clear as to how my name is pronounced: (Moh-Sheh)
Thanks @JulianMoncadaNY for the inspiration and @BoatShuman for the extra nudge. Looking forward to not having to correct anyone anymore :)

Reactors (plural) are being built in beautiful Southern California by @AntaresNuclear. Come power the high frontier with us.
Palmer Luckey says analysts claiming it's too expensive to manufacture in the US are lying to protect megacorps
"I think I have a more realistic view than almost anybody. One of the problems with all these analysts that are telling you that it's going to cost $37,000 to build an American iPhone or $100,000 to buy an American computer."
"They're trying to prop up a status quo that the megacorporations want to keep going. They want to outsource everything. They want to hire cheaper non-American labor."
"They are willing to say and do anything to convince you that it can't be fixed, that it can't come back, that America is this helpless, neutered, post-relevant empire, and it is just not the case."
"How do I know that? Because I have to make stuff in America every day because I work in the defense industry. The stuff that Anduril makes every day is not actually that different from a computer. My drones are basically computers. They have memory, a GPU, a CPU, sensors, batteries, a rugged integration."
"The only difference between an Anduril attack drone and a laptop is a keyboard and a screen. That is not that hard to figure out, especially for a guy like me who started Oculus and comes from the consumer electronics space."
"We're not going to let people lie about what America can and can't do anymore. We're just going to do it."

It's prime time. A look inside the factory building America’s next reactors.
Hmmm @AntaresNuclear?
The 2026 American Dynamism 50 is here: our annual list of 50 companies, from within the a16z portfolio and beyond, building for America's future.
This year's theme is Production is Deterrence. "America's ability to prevent conflict depends on what it can build, how fast it can deliver, and how long it can keep going."
A new generation of defense companies is moving from prototypes to full-scale production, and the industrial base has to keep pace. This year's list is organized around three pillars:
1. Systems: the drones, ships, missiles, aircraft, and spacecraft that deter conflict.
2. Factories: the plants, tools, and software that build them.
3. Inputs: the materials and power they're made of and run on.
Get all three right, and the impact reaches well beyond defense, to skilled jobs, revitalized communities, and the supply chains behind energy, housing, and everyday goods.

My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will:
1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate.
2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority.
3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority.
This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word.
All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.

BlueChip. Built in America.
America made the first electronic computer to win a war.
Now we depend on our greatest adversaries to build the computers that run our economy and defend our nation.
Today, we bring it home.

We’re 3 for 3 in orbit this October. This time, it’s space drugs. W-7 carries pharmaceutical hardware and a promising new type of cancer medicine known as a protein degrader. Microgravity will help overcome one of its biggest limitations: poor solubility.

2,000 new jobs in Texas. 6,000 jobs planned nationwide. 🇺🇸
In Dallas, we’re growing manufacturing space to 735,000 square feet and partnering with @HadrianInc to bring automation and high-precision machining to the PAC-3® MSE, THAAD, PrSM and JATM production lines.
🚨🚨🚨
I’m hiring a Chief of Staff at @fw_automation
For 2 years you’ll work with me across the company, then move into a senior role in biz ops or finance
The right person is highly organized, self-motivated, hungry, and comfortable keeping many things moving at once. CoS, banking, or staffer backgrounds are likely fits

Replying to @HadrianInc
@HadrianInc is a proud partner of the @USArmy to modernize and accelerate depot production - starting with our factory of the future at Red River.
Pressure tests are brilliant and we look forward to @SecArmy’s Manufacturing Rodeo.
Giddy up!

Amca has been awarded a contract by the @USArmy, establishing an enterprise-wide partnership with Army Materiel Command for rapid engineering, qualification, and component production.
This is the first partnership of its kind, designed to increase readiness for a priority missile system by re-engineering and improving manufacturability of critical components and subsystems.
We're grateful for the Army’s trust, urgency, and leadership, and look forward to re-engineering American industry together.
You’re a disgusting joke of a human being.
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss.
The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes.
Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment.
To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

I’m increasingly hearing about fund of funds trying to get GP stakes and/or heavily negotiate fees when backing emerging VC managers. This has to be the epitome of adverse selection, no?
Unless the initial terms are off-market, we don’t negotiate fees with EMs (they’re rarely getting rich off fees and strong/oversubscribed funds have no incentive to budge). And with few exceptions, good EMs won’t give up a piece of their ManCo.
Earlier this year @Lux_Capital pre-empted our Series D and we were excited to lean in and raise $250m!
In 2014, I was raising for my first co, Lux was the only VC that invited me to a full IC... but passed because it wasn't ambitious though
Thankfully space drug factories is :)
Today, we’re announcing Varda’s $250M Series D raise, bringing the total amount of capital raised to $598 million with a $1.6B valuation.
This funding will help us build more vehicles, grow pharmaceutical partnerships, and advance toward the first medicine manufactured in space for patients on Earth.
Excited to announce two big hires at Varda today!!
Steve Layne, CRO: 35 years at Lockheed, most recently running Space & Hypersonic Strike.
Aaron Huber, CFO: automotive background + #2 at Ginkgo through IPO.
Making space drug factories into a real operation over here!!
