INEC has listed Prof. Chris Uba as the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), with Dr. Shamsuddin Modibbo Barnkido named as his running mate.
With this development, Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi appear to be out of the presidential race on the ADC platform.

Yesterday I joined other progressive youth leaders at the Abuja Roundtable, organised by the Progressives Strategy Roundtable, themed “Promise to Proof: The Renewed Hope Conversation.” The thematic discussions brought together government officials, policymakers, and institutional leaders to assess the progress and impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Discussions focused on five critical sectors, Education, Agriculture, Energy, Security, and the Economy, with relevant MDAs and institutional leaders sharing insights into ongoing reforms, programmes, and achievements.
In my contribution as the North Central Coordinator, Directorate of Infrastructure, Mobilisation and Sensitisation, APC Presidential Campaign Council, I highlighted the Renewed Hope Agenda’s significant infrastructure achievements across the North Central region, particularly road construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction, as well as other critical interventions across sectors.
The roundtable provided a valuable platform for informed conversations, constructive scrutiny and engagement, reinforcing the importance of translating the promises of the Renewed Hope Agenda into measurable outcomes that improve the lives of Nigerians.

Today, I was in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, in company of the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, members of the National Working Committee (NWC), governors and other prominent stakeholders of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The excitement was palpable, the atmosphere electrifying, and the massive crowd that turned out to receive us was a powerful demonstration of the people's enthusiasm, confidence and unwavering faith in the APC. It was indeed a remarkable show of solidarity and a strong statement of political commitment.
We were in Ekiti to present our candidates, from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to our candidates for the National Assembly and State House of Assembly, as we consolidate our preparations for the 2027 general elections.
Our message was clear: President Tinubu is a performer, a reformer and a leader whose policies are laying the foundation for a more prosperous Nigeria.
Across the country, the impact of his leadership is becoming increasingly evident. In Ekiti State, for instance, we have witnessed significant investments in critical infrastructure, including the construction and rehabilitation of important roads linking Ado-Ekiti to Akure and several other completed and ongoing projects. These are tangible interventions that demonstrate the administration's commitment to improving connectivity, stimulating economic activities and enhancing the quality of life of our people.
The ongoing tax reforms are designed to protect low-income earners and small businesses, ensuring that those who should not pay taxes are no longer burdened with unnecessary tax obligations. This means more disposable income for households and greater opportunities for businesses to grow.
Through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), the administration is also expanding access to higher education by ensuring that financial limitations do not prevent deserving students from pursuing their academic ambitions. Eligible students also benefit from the monthly upkeep allowance of ₦20,000, providing additional support as they pursue their education.
These are deliberate policies aimed at expanding opportunities, empowering citizens and building a stronger foundation for national development.
Ekiti has spoken through its enthusiasm. The message is unmistakable: the APC is ready, united and determined to consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
