Took me about ten seconds to find out that Andreas Malm has been blacklisted for justifying the October 7th massacres, not "not supporting genocide". But I doubt Craig and his ghoulish followers would care about that, even if they knew. – at Cardiff, Wales

If your knee jerk response to a report saying children are being bullied for their religion/ethnicity is to try to find any means to discredit the report, you are part of the problem and not the good person you think you are.

This is such an appalling take that not even her base will appreciate. LETS ATTACK THE PRIME MINISTER FOR SPENDING 30 MINS RAISING MONEY FOR A CANCER CHARITY. Bonkers stuff.
'Is that a really good use of his time?' 'Raising money for a cancer charity?' The Green Party's @floschechter brands Andy Burnham going on Gogglebox as 'ridiculous'.

New suicide figures have been published by @ONS: 5,738 suicides were registered for England in 2025. 75% were in men. 1 in 65 men die by suicide. And in the details: a politically sensitive concern, a small encouragement & an important point no media have mentioned. Short 🧵

On a daily basis now I see stuff from people claiming to be journalists or media commentators who either don't understand reporting restrictions on criminal trials, or are pretending not to. I don't know which is worse.

Anecdotal story about a Muslim man racially harassing a Jewish schoolgirl in an unnamed secondary school, supposedly in north London. None of this happened. 3,000 RTs so I guess nobody cares it's made-up to sow more division in a world with enough. I'll go through facts. /1
There was a situation at my daughter’s school last week which left her in tears. I went in to the school the day after to let them know we were removing her with immediate effect. The head teacher tried to explain but I had no interest in her excuses or reasons. The school had a play and an open evening for next year’s new pupils, and my daughter’s class were asked to take the potential new pupils and their parents for a tour of the school and classes. My daughter is the most softly spoken, polite and friendly child you’d probably ever meet. She’s one of just 40 Jewish pupils at the school out of over a thousand children. My wife wanted her to go to a non Jewish school because she felt concerned about the security threats at Jewish schools, and I don’t have much say in the matter as I’m just the dad. Our youngest goes to a Jewish school and the security simply isn’t anywhere good enough. This would be both their last year at school in this country because we’d already made the decision to leave the country before their next school year. My oldest wears a tiny discreet Star of David pendant. It’s so inoffensive to anybody but allows her to express her Jewish faith in a small way. When it was her turn in line to greet the family she would show around, the family was a Muslim family. My daughter has no personal issue with anybody and is friendly with two Muslim girls in her class who aren’t bothered by her being Jewish. But this family clearly were. In front of everyone, the father refused to be shown around by “a Jew”. He apparently, according to several parents and a teacher, raised his voice at her, and demanded that another child show them around. Instead of the head teacher condemning his behavior and telling him to leave, she asked my daughter to step aside and asked another pupil to show them around. Nobody except other parents, non Jewish parents, came to my daughter to ask if she was even ok. She was in a flood of tears, frightened and confused. My wife got a phone call from another parent and insisted she would go fetch our daughter because she already knew what I would do had I gone there myself. But this is what we live in now. This is the new normal. For reasons of what will come next, I won’t name the school. But this is going to escalate, a lot.

I find this reasoning baffling. This is marginally worse than they did in 2019. Pre Brexit they were competitive in this seat and used to get 20% or so.
Tories take 7 per cent in Holborn and St Pancras – the first time they have been the leading right-of-centre party in a by-election in England this parliament. Early days – but possible portent of a comeback?

Good to see an attempt to understand why highest suicide rates are in middle-aged men. What is driving this? Economic factors - highest rates began after 2008 recession. Alcohol - a policy blind spot for successive Govts. Physical ill-health, isolation, offenders.

The cheek of this. I am a carer along with other MPs who have children. I'm in the highest 10% of MPs by voting record with over 87% of votes compared to less than 50% for the average Reform MP (less than 31% in 1 case) & have voted more than any Reform MP in this Parliament.
His admirable commitment as a full-time carer for his daughter is clear. Standing for Parliament is a personal choice with heavy public duties; the required sacrifices of time and energy should not fall on constituencies

And now Trump is in charge. Great riffs do not begat great political insight.
Tom Morello (@tmorello) says he didn't vote for Kamala Harris in 2024. "I saw how the corporate Democrat sausage is made. It is worse than you think. And there is a righteous fury at the corporate-controlled, money-controlled electoral system we have that is absolutely illegitimate. And people cannot choke down voting for a candidate, I understand it, cannot choke down voting for a candidate that's responsible for what happened in Gaza. And they just, they can't do it."

Got to say that beyond the name and some tedious professional contrarian opinions, I wasn't familiar with Tucker Carlson before this, is what passes for an opinion former in the US? Guy couldn't argue his way out a wet paper bag.
I wasn’t familiar with Rees-Mogg prior to this, but I was impressed. It was an hour-long masterclass in how to deal with a hostile interviewer. And he maintained his composure until the very end. His style was the perfect foil to Tucker’s approach.

Boris Johnson and Dominic Cummings WERE put in charge of Brexit, and they then delivered it. At some point its biggest supporters need to start acknowledging that the brighter future promised by Vote Leave was a lie. That's the long and short of it. nitter.cf/tomhfh/status/21052451…
The original sin of Brexit was not allowing Vote Leave to own the project after victory. In wrestling power from the people who won the referendum, insane internal machinations within the Parliamentary Conservative Party prevented those who campaigned for the outcome from delivering that outcome. From the start the whole project was decapitated. And so here we are now, ten years on, having repealed precious little EU law, pursuing no supply side reform, indeed still building a £125m bat tunnel in order that HS2 abide by the retained EU Habitats Directive. For the best part of a decade the political class stole the victory from the people. And now they have the temerity to say their own failure is actually the fault of the people for wanting an independent country.
