Labour said they had no choice but to let thousands of dangerous prisoners out. My questions expose the truth. Many cells are out of use because of vandalism, wasteful projects, and even bedbugs. But some repairs won’t happen until 2031. This is Labour’s prisons crisis.

They do it to incite fear into the public, just like this ‘war in a thousand days’ lark. It’s nasty politics, it’s disingenuous scaremongering so that gullible people accept what they’re told. Then the saviours will come to our aid & Labour secure another term - if YOU let them!

Oh get stuffed, poor levels of public service are all down to the Tories.

Do you really want to talk about prisons and why we are in this mess ?? Come on man. What is it about these Tories ? They think we have all forgotten just what a state they left the prison service in They haven’t changed at all. Same old Tories . Brass neck of these people

Prisoners shouldn't mind the bed bugs as they will have them as pets.

Leaving Labour with a dilapidated Prison Estate is hardly their fault is it As usual @NJ_Timothy tries to pass the blame for @Conservatives failure

This all started with useless Tories . Who by the way also had early release schemes.

It's the Dirty Parasites who Brought this into our Prisons!

14 years of Tory failure, keep the #ConParty out.

Tories cut prison and police funding btw

Its not Labours fault but it is for Labour to rectify. There is a big difference.

Remind me how many places your govt added Remind how many you claim currently you’ll build . Children make stuff up . Liars offer it as policies . The wilderness years will stretch to decades as you haven’t learnt and haven’t grown up . Who will vote for squabbling kids ?

1/1 All inherited from @Conservatives During the Conservative administration (2010–2024), the prison system in England & Wales deteriorated into what independent bodies, auditors, & political observers classified as imminent, systemic capacity crisis.

You shut 23 prisons and then moan about Labour.

Supervised release began in October 2023, under the last government, because the estate was already full. Calling it Labour's crisis avoids asking why it was full.

Perhaps you could have built a few places in your long tenure.

T*ry arrogance prevents them from admitting they are to blame on anything ! ❌ Time for them to disband as a so-called “political party” ✅ Grow a backbone timmy, but you won’t ❌ #NeverTrustATory - nefarious charlatans 🤮 🙄🤡

Change the laws then, it is your job.

You lot keep trying to convince us you've changed, that somehow, you've learnt your lessons and you'll be better next time if we just give you the chance. It's all bollocks; the same old routine. Once you're out of power, all the problems you caused are all someone else's fault.

When does a 'dangerous prisoner' stop being a dangerous prisoner, or are they forever dangerous? In which case why release them ever? Shadow Vicious Justice Secretary, stay in the shadows where you belong.

I remember @BenObeseJecty bragging that the @Conservatives had added 14,000 prison spaces forgetting to mention they’d closed some 13,500 for a net increase of under 500. I also remember @RishiSunak freeing 10,000 prisoners early Gaslighting muppet Nicky lad

I remember seeing the idea that you could fund new, properly equipped prisons on the outskirts of cities, by selling the prisons in expensive locations for development. Is this viable?
40
is it true Conservative governments chronically underfunded the prison service so many cells became unusable ? 👇🏿
