The UAE Showed The Gulf How Deterrence Works
I’ll say it straight, the UAE deserves serious credit for how it responded when Iran attacked.
The UAE could have stayed behind its air defenses, intercepted Iranian missiles and drones, and simply waited for the next attack.
It didn't.
The UAE took the fight back into Iran, with strikes around Qeshm, Abu Musa, Bandar Abbas, Lavan Island and the Asaluyeh area.
And this is the part I find important.
The UAE is a small country, but it has serious airpower, F-16E/Fs and Mirage 2000-9s, and when Iran came after it, Abu Dhabi showed that those aircraft weren't there just for air shows and parades.
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan also had capable air forces.
The aircraft were there. The weapons were there. The capability was there.
What mattered was the will to use it.
Now imagine if all of them had answered Iran the same way.
Iran wouldn't just be calculating how many missiles and drones it could fire at the Gulf.
It would have to calculate what was coming back.
That is deterrence.
I'm not saying the Gulf should go looking for a war. Nobody needs another regional war.
But Iran should never be allowed to believe it can attack Gulf countries and expect them to simply absorb the punishment.
The UAE sent a much harder message.
You attack us, we defend ourselves. Push us far enough, and we can bring the fight back to you.
That is the kind of message an aggressor understands.
Small country. Serious airpower. And when tested, it showed serious resolve.
This is chronic blame-shifting: blaming Israel for Hamas’s own decisions and actions while refusing to acknowledge Hamas’s responsibility.
It’s a self-serving psychological defense that replaces accountability with perpetual victimhood and makes meaningful self-correction impossible.

The neo-socialist sees globalists, public servants, international organisations, activists, global media, shady donors, students, workers, academics and philanthropy merchants rally around one issue—and imagines his revolutionary moment has finally arrived.
As though sharing a slogan means sharing interests. As though workers, bureaucrats and philanthropy merchants want the same future. As though outrage over Palestine amounts to a mandate for his entire political programme.
He mistakes this convergence for an alliance ready to put its full weight behind his ambitions—and imagines it can silence the growing resistance to those who claim the right to govern everyone else.
This is beyond naïveté. He is mentally pre-ejaculating his delusions: celebrating a revolution before explaining who would join it, what they would sacrifice, or why they would accept his leadership.
He has read a few red books and mistaken them for an instruction manual for real life.
The only way to end the killing in Palestine is if working-class communities from all over the globe stage solidarity, perhaps by withholding their work, boycotting companies or protesting against multinational corporations. This is our only chance before it is eventually taken away from us. Right now you have the right to protest or to hold governments to account by withholding your labour. If they do not provide, withhold your labour and the economy comes to a complete standstill. But in 10 or 20 years’ time, when most jobs are replaced by automation or by superintelligence, what will you stage a protest with? What will you withhold to protest against the system? You will have nothing. You will be protesting against an all-powerful system without the labour to withhold.

תצלם אותנו שומרים פה… תקפו אותנו, רצו לרצוח את הטייס. אף אחד לא עובר את הדלת של הטייס” (“Film us guarding here… they attacked us, they wanted to murder the pilot. Nobody passes the pilot’s door.”)
“במטוס הזה ניסו לרצוח את הטייס, השתלטנו על הצוות” (“On this plane they tried to murder the pilot, we took control of the crew.”)
“זה הטייס שניסו לרצוח” (“This is the pilot they tried to murder.”)
“תצלמו הכול. אנחנו עומדים פה, אף אחד לא עובר את דלת הטייס” (“Film everything. We are standing here, nobody passes the pilot’s door.”)
Pointing at a person on the floor: “זה זה שדקר אותו” (“That is the one who stabbed him.”)

A liberal society’s greatest strength—freedom—can also become a vulnerability when grievance, ideology, organization, and political power converge.
The question is not whether millions of Muslims live peacefully in the West.
They do.
The harder question is: who has the match?
I explore the argument in The Barrel in the Room.

Westerners are not irrational for worrying about Islam’s capacity for religious authority, political supremacy and expansion. History gives them reasons to take that possibility seriously.
But Christianity once possessed much of the same political character.
The West did not simply make Christianity “nicer.” The Reformation, religious wars, Enlightenment, industrialization, capitalism and the rise of individual rights progressively changed the relationship between the individual, religion and political power. The Church lost its monopoly over public life.
That may be the deeper question surrounding Islam today.
Perhaps the issue is not whether Islam can become peaceful. It plainly can. The question is whether it can undergo a transformation comparable to Christianity’s—where religious belief survives, but religious authority loses its claim to govern the individual and the state.
Finally a serious action was taken against ground launched anti ship missile.

How does the modern mind reconcile political denialism with classical Islamic texts that structurally document an Israelite demographic mandate in Al-Sham as absolute reality?
A detached, realpolitik assessment from Quran.
A textual sovereignty vs. modern retroactive negation.
