This is not normal.
And the public deserves to know what these super-rich donors want back in return.

Here’s how the UK chancellor can raise the billions needed to improve the quality of life of millions by addressing tax and fiscal anomalies.
There is no shortage of money. All that is needed is political will.

Ingrid's fundraiserOne month after losing her nan to a brain tumour, Ingrid's mum was diagnosed with one too.
"Everything happened so fast, and I thought Mum would die too," she says.
The 25-year-old's mum, Mia, was diagnosed in 2021 while she was grieving the loss of her own mother, Bardhe, who died aged 66.
Her tumour is non-cancerous and is stable following surgery, but her family knows these can still have a "huge and negative impact" on patients.
Earlier this month, five years on, Ingrid took on the Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon, raising vital funds in honour of her mum and in memory of her nan.
"I want to raise as much as I can help anyone else who is going through this disease so other families don’t lose a loved one like we did," she adds 💛

Yesterday, I was barred from entering the West Bank by Israeli officials, as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
What's happening here in Palestine is unjust. We've just witnessed what Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and many others have called a genocide unfold in Gaza.
We came here to show the world, and to show solidarity with the Palestinian people. The Israeli government didn't allow that.

🔴@Helen_Whately, Shadow Secretary of State for Work & Pensions, has claimed £2 MILLION expenses in 10 years.
£300,000 relates to her own travel and accommodation - yet she only lives 50 miles from London.
Her boss, @KemiBadenoch has 3 children, claims £2.7K per month to rent a 6 bed farmhouse & tried to claim expenses for a family holiday.
The country can't afford these @Conservatives.

🚨Conservative shadow minister’s nearly £2 MILLION expenses bill draws scrutiny
Helen Whately, the Conservatives’ Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary, has claimed almost £2 million in parliamentary expenses over the past decade. These payments come from the public purse—funded by the taxes of ordinary hard-working people. Most of the total covers staff salaries, but around £300,000 relates to her own travel and accommodation, even though she lives roughly 50 miles from London in Kent.
Party leader Kemi Badenoch claims £2,700 a month toward rent on a six-bedroom farmhouse in her Essex constituency, within the rules for an MP with three children. She has also faced claims she once sought taxpayer funding for a family holiday flight, which officials refused.
Critics say the sums sit uncomfortably beside Conservative calls to tighten welfare; supporters note the claims follow standard IPSA rules for MPs

They are becoming embedded across defence, the NHS and soon the FCA. Once those systems are too difficult to move, lock-in becomes another problem and who has access to the data.

Palantir’s role in Britain’s digital state is expanding.
- £182m NHS data platform (£330m potential)
- £240m MoD operational deal
- Up to £1.5bn UK defence investment
- Former senior officials at Palantir
- £50m Met deal blocked over procurement
Parliament has already called Palantir’s growing presence an “unacceptable point of weakness”.
The real danger is lock-in. Once critical systems become too difficult to move, the supplier gains leverage.
