Secretary-General @antonioguterres has underscored that as the world changes, our institutions must change with it.
Our principles must guide that change. The UN Charter, international law & human rights remain our compass.
As we head into #UNGA81, let’s keep our promises and push for peace.
The @UN is not just a platform, it is a promise.
My message to world leaders as they will gather for #UNGA in an era of deep uncertainty:
Keep your promises.
Live up to the UN Charter.
Be true to the ideals you pledged to uphold.
Defend international law.
Protect human rights.
Invest in sustainable and inclusive development.
And push for peace.
