@TeamYouTube My channel was demonetized on August 11 for “Misleading Family Content,” with 90 days to fix and reapply. After just 71 days, it changed to “Unsatisfactory and Off-putting Content,” due to AI error. My reapply date was wrongly extended to January 17. Please fix this!
I explained everything to @TeamYouTube, provided all the evidence, and clearly explained why my channel was wrongfully demonetized. And after all that, THIS is the result I received?
What kind of Help Center is this if you can't even help creators who genuinely need support? 💔

आज कई creators को YouTube की *“Misleading Family Content”* जैसी policies के तहत demonetization का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। कई मामलों में creators का कहना है कि उनका content family-friendly होने के बावजूद monetization पर कार्रवाई की जा रही है। इससे छोटे और मध्यम creators की income पर सीधा असर पड़ रहा है।
हम मानते हैं कि बच्चों की सुरक्षा और viewers की protection जरूरी है। लेकिन हमारी विनती है कि ऐसी policies को लागू करते समय *genuine Indian creators और जानबूझकर misleading content बनाने वालों के बीच स्पष्ट अंतर* किया जाए।
हम creators कोई विशेष सुविधा नहीं मांग रहे हैं। हम केवल *पारदर्शी guidelines, उचित review और appeal का निष्पक्ष अवसर* चाहते हैं, ताकि अगर किसी creator के channel पर कार्रवाई हो तो उसे स्पष्ट रूप से बताया जाए कि किस content और किस policy के कारण monetization हटाया गया है।
भारत में लाखों लोग आज digital content के माध्यम से रोजगार और अपना भविष्य बना रहे हैं। यदि genuine creators लगातार uncertainty और demonetization के डर में रहेंगे, तो इसका असर केवल creators पर नहीं बल्कि उनके परिवारों और पूरे digital economy पर पड़ेगा।

I genuinely miss the days when YouTube felt like a place of true creative freedom.
A place where creators could experiment, try new ideas, tell stories, take creative risks, and express themselves in their own unique way. We could create something simply because we were passionate about creating it. That freedom made YouTube exciting, fun, and enjoyable.
But today, it often feels completely different. There are restrictions and limitations everywhere, and sometimes it feels like creators are being pushed into a very small box where we are constantly afraid of what we can or cannot create.
It feels like our creativity is being held back. We want to explore new ideas, create different kinds of content, experiment with storytelling, and show what we are capable of—but increasingly, it feels like we have to constantly think about limitations instead of focusing on creativity.
YouTube used to feel like a place where people could build something from their imagination. Now, sometimes creating feels less like passion and more like a job where someone is constantly telling you what you can and cannot do.
We understand that rules and safety are important. But creators also need room to create, experiment, and express themselves.
Please don’t let the creative spirit that made YouTube special disappear.
We don’t want to feel trapped by endless restrictions. We just want to create again—with passion, imagination, and the freedom that made us fall in love with YouTube in the first place. 🎬❤️

🙏🏻 I would simply urge YouTube to do away with this AI-automated system; AI is going to prove very harmful to our lives. AI can never understand human emotions. I fully realize that the issue of "misleading family content" is not arising due to YouTube's human reviews—it is all being driven by AI. YouTube should not rely entirely on AI. I hope YouTube understands the perspective of all us creators. Humans make mistakes, but this is AI—how could it possibly understand our emotions? If a human were actually reviewing our channel, they would have clearly pointed out the specific error; they would have sent the video or a screenshot showing exactly what went wrong and explained it plainly. This matter really needs to be considered carefully.

Our monetization has been unfairly taken from us.

@YouTube @TeamYouTube makes billions of dollars every year, yet it continues to push aggressive cost-cutting by relying more and more on AI to replace human reviewers. Instead of investing in better human moderation and supporting creators, they seem to be prioritizing cost savings and profits. Meanwhile, creators are the ones suffering from inaccurate AI decisions, wrongful demonetizations, and even channel terminations.

I don’t understand one thing. If YouTube checks a video during the upload process to determine whether it’s suitable for ads under the YouTube Partner Program, then why does a channel suddenly get demonetized a month or two later? If YouTube is already checking the videos when they’re uploaded, why does this happen later?

It’s been 52 DAYS, and I’m still fighting to get my channel monetization back. 💔 My channel, The150Tales, was demonetized for “Misleading Family Content,” but my videos are cinematic mythological stories made for a general audience, not specifically for children.
I believe my channel was wrongly demonetized, and I have evidence to support my case. I don’t believe my content has been reviewed properly.
This is not just happening to me—many animation creators are facing similar issues. Please, @TeamYouTube, arrange a thorough human review of my channel and help resolve this issue fairly.

I’m a professional filmmaker/VFX creator who has been on YouTube for almost a decade. Like many animation and VFX creators, my channel was suddenly demonetized under the “Misleading Family Content” policy, despite having no history of Community Guidelines strikes.
After the demonetization, creators are asked to wait 90 days to re-apply. The appeal process often results in generic, copy-paste responses, and there is very little opportunity to actually explain the context of the content to a human reviewer.
I personally had to delete around 95% of my channel’s videos — years of CGI, VFX and creative work — because I was afraid of being rejected again, even though I genuinely believed my content was not violating the policy.
Even after completing the 90-day waiting period and re-applying, creators can be left waiting without a clear explanation or meaningful update.
This isn’t just about me. Many genuine animation, VFX and filmmaking creators are facing similar concerns. YouTube’s automated systems need to understand context better, and creators need a meaningful way to reach human reviewers when their livelihoods are affected.
After 8–10 years of building a career on YouTube, suddenly losing monetization can be mentally, emotionally and financially exhausting.
Please, if you can, bring attention to this issue or help us get heard. We genuinely need someone to look into this. 🙏❤️
