The #IGAD Agriculture and Environment Division and ICPAC is developing for the first time the climate early warning system for Blue Economy resources and services (Marine Watch).
The IGAD team is on a field mission in 3 pilot Member States (Djibouti, Somalia and South Sudan) to undertake a needs assessment through the AfDB-supported BE Prosper Project.

Oruç Reis Seismic Research Vessel, which has been operating in the Somali seas since October 25, 2024, has successfully completed its 234-day mission.
Within the scope of the studies carried out in three blocks, 3D seismic data were collected in a total area of 4464 km².
