Nick can see the future
1. Convince Roy Cooper to run in NC 2. Finally unseat Susan Collins in Maine 3. Hope Sherrod Brown can pull off a comeback in Ohio 4. Somehow win Texas? Get Peltola to run in Alaska? 🤷‍♂️ nitter.cf/nick_field90/status/18…

I'm not saying it's wrong to be wary, but I also don't think Johnson has any other recourse than to act like the Titanic hasn't hit the iceberg already. I think he's trying to minimise panic before election day as an attempt at damage control.
This worries me. Maybe he already knows The Musk Fix Is In.

Yes… That’s how voting works….
Trump says if Republicans lose the election it is voters’ fault

It was a very clever way to give an entire cast of black actors access to performing Shakespeare.
It’s so funny that Patrick Stewart loved Othello and wanted to play him so bad that instead of doing blackface he just produced a race reversed version of the play where he played white Othello

The Governor of Florida is dooming Amazing
Republicans are underperforming in Polk County. We have a voter registration advantage of 60,000 in the county and it went R+30 four years ago.

Just saw this today, it's a great time. The end battle sequence is particularly fun (and it's surprisingly more violent than you'd expect).
‘WILDWOOD’ opened with $11M domestically. The second lowest opening for a LAIKA film.

Lula surrendered to justice, faced his accusers, went to jail on tampered evidence, proved his innocence and then won 2 elections in a row. Flavio fled a day after he won 60 million votes and a congressional majority.

Glenn Greenwald's brain needs to be studied so we can find out what led to his descent into Daffy Duck levels of lunatic contrarian bullshit.
For those who decided to invent some bizarre new authoritarian law-and-order rule today to justify Moraes' ban on Bolsonaro leaving the country -- that if you're under investigation (without even being charged), it's normal to have your passport seized -- please note: Lula's son is engulfed in several major financial scandals and investigations relating to lobbyist corruption. His passport has never been seized or cancelled. In fact, he left Brazil to go live in extreme luxury in Spain (in the same neighborhood where several of the world's highest-paid soccer players live), where nobody can explain the source of what appears to be his great wealth. Countless rich and powerful people in Brazil, including Lula's allies, are under investigation yet freely leave the country when they want: jetting off to Dubai, France, wherever. Truly bizarre how some on the left start fabricating extremist police powers when it suits them.

Republicans seem to be unaware that the electorate needs to R+10 before it looks like Talarico will lose…
Texas Dem adv vs 2022 just keeps on shrinking Rural surge is making the urban surge totally irrelevant

Side note, it's still stupid that American elections aren't scheduled for Saturdays to help with voting accessibility.

Joe Lombardo is in trouble. I’d move Nevada’s Governor Election from Tilt D to Lean D.
Nevada firewall grew to 🔵 D+24,100 tonight The same day equivalent in 2024 was 🔴 R+40,000 Election Day was only R+1% in 2024 but obviously that can change from election to election

Lmao Flavio Bolsonaro has been without Parliamentary immunity for all of 24 hours and he has so many criminal cases going into gear that the police is already asking he surrenders his passport to avoid him fleeing corruption charges

My sister actually went to visit our American family in California this past September. Multiple strangers heard her and her partner's Australian accents and literally thanked them for visiting despite how embarrassed they felt about current conditions stateside.
🇦🇺 🇺🇸 An Australian woman has a rather devastating response to Americans who insist that everyone loves the United States and secretly dreams of living there. “Australians aren’t jealous of America, we mostly feel sorry for you.” She also makes a much more interesting point. Believing that you already live in the greatest country on Earth is intellectually lazy. If you’ve been told your entire life that nowhere else comes close, why bother looking? And that is precisely what makes this mentality so limiting. Looking beyond your own borders should be a source of inspiration. Other countries do things better. Some have better healthcare, others better education, infrastructure or social protections. There is absolutely nothing unpatriotic about noticing this and asking why your own country cannot do the same. Every country has its problems. Australia does. Norway does. America certainly does. Nobody has invented the perfect society. But every country also has something worth learning from. And perhaps that is the greatest irony of all. The people most convinced that America has nothing to learn from the rest of the world may be the very people preventing it from becoming better.

Lula has won a nearly insurmountable challenge: from being behind by 2 million votes and endorsed by none of the remaining candidates, the methalworker and historic union leader has defeated the far-right Bolsonaro family again. Why?

It's so funny how the the right glorifies the "rooftop Koreans" because they failed to stop the looting of koreatown, killed a Korean teenager in a friendly fire incident, and many of the original Korean shopowners have expressed deep regret for their actions.
New startup idea: Rooftop Koreans as a Service

The more Republicans obsess over Hasan Piker and ad hominem attacks against candidates with little to no national profile, the more I feel validated by the claim that Trump was never a hard candidate to beat, but the beneficiary of his opponents' collective incompetence.
Donald Trump says Hasan Piker's name for the first time "Most disgraceful of all, Sayed campaigns with communist agitator Hasan Piker. Just watch." He then shows a highlight reel of Hasan at his Michigan rally with Nicki Minaj
