#Helen_Brhane before publicly accusing Eritrea of inhumanity and presenting yourself as a moral authority on Eritrean affairs, perhaps you should first address the serious questions surrounding your own past. Serious allegations have been raised concerning your alleged involvement in performing abortions on women in Eritrea under illegal and dangerous conditions. Survivors have reportedly described women suffering from severe infections, high fever and, in some cases, losing their lives. These are grave allegations that deserve independent investigation, credible evidence and accountability. The suffering of these women must never be ignored or erased. There are also questions surrounding your Ethiopian background and your claimed Eritrean identity. If you present yourself as Eritrean, transparency about your origins and affiliations matters. You cannot demand justice and accountability from others while refusing to address serious questions about your own history. Eritrea and its people deserve respect. The women who suffered deserve justice. Survivors deserve to be heard. And the truth deserves to come out.
