Hi friends, I am thrilled to announce that my book, Talk Radio's America, is now available for pre-order now. As you may know, pre-orders are crucially important to the success of a book, and I'd very much appreciate it if you might consider pre-ordering.

This must be investigated by the New York Times and the the DOJ!
Massive midterm con in the super-close Nevada gov race — GOP is propping up third-party spoiler candidate Danielle Ford to siphon votes from surging Dem candidate, @AaronDFordNV. They’re falsely implying she’s endorsed by AOC in mailers and Snapchat ads.

Totally and completely inappropriate with the AG on the ballot.
Texas Tribune: Texas AG’s office labels get-out-the-vote ads discriminatory for focus on Black, Latino and Asian voters
The Harris County ads, which urged social media users to make a plan to vote, must be halted or changed, an agency lawsuit said.

This definitely surprises me, even with all the caveats about the operation's scope and limits. Hard to see why the ATF should have any role in our elections at all.
CNN: Did it impact your vote at all?
Alaska Voter: Not a bit.
CNN: Can you tell who's who here?
AV: Absolutely. You've got Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. and then you have Sullivan Dan, who's a registered Republican and incumbent. And I don't even have my glasses on. It's pretty clear it's in black and white. It's very clear.

Israel needs a bicameral legislature and reform of its judiciary so, so, badly. Basically it needs an actual written constitution. I get that its political architecture was designed by a bunch of democratic socialists racing to get a modern nation on its feet while fighting enemies in all directions. But come on. This system is absurd.

We'll see what happens on Tuesday, but this post held up so far.

All this talk about same name candidates but no one outside of Nevada is talking about the GOP/ Trump/ Team Lombardo propping up Danielle Ford in the closest gov race in the country against Aaron Ford.
Every race rater has NV Gov a toss up and this ploy could be a real spoiler.

Israel’s Arab citizens, men and women, are turning out in historic numbers to vote. They can vote, run for office, and serve in the Knesset, rights denied to many Arabs and women across much of the Middle East.
Our critical ally in the fight against terror, Israel, is the only democracy in the region, and today shows it.

Hi Francesca. I'm Israeli. Can I vote in Jordan's elections since they occupy half of the British Mandate of Palestine? Lmk.

Speaking of Alaska, look what's happening in Nevada.
A shadow PAC with Republican ties is sending mailers promoting third-party candidate Danielle Ford as the “AOC of Nevada,” falsely implying she has AOC's support, apparently hoping to siphon votes from Democrat Aaron Ford.
AOC has never even spoken to Danielle Ford and is backing Aaron Ford.

And a Republican PAC is funding advertising for a nonpartisan candidate named Danielle Ford in NV to try and draw votes from Aaron Ford, the Dem nominee. The advertising describes Danielle Ford as the AOC of Nevada. This isn’t a new tactic.
A Democratic Congress is going to need to fix this.
After USPS reduced mail service from some facilities, ballot-rejection rates in those regions grew to two to three times what they were for the previous midterm primary, our analysis found.

The Democratic Party is poised to send a Christian pastor, a Christian seminarian, a Jewish southerner, a Muslim doctor, and several Catholics to the United States Congress to win a commanding majority.
Only in America.

On top of everything else, if PA Dems win a State Senate majority they can finally change state law to allow for preparing mail-in votes to be counted before Election Day. This policy memorably made it take days to call Pennsylvania in 2020
Again, if you look at the polling there, Tafoya is going to do better in a wave than you'd expect, but she never really had a chance.

NEW: Members of UT-Austin's student government wanted to condemn Bo French's racist attacks, but say a school official stepped in to dissuade them. They say its part of broader, concerning pattern regarding the school's handling of political issues. (Gift link below)
For a 3rd or 4th tier race, Barr has a raised a ton of $$ & run a hard campaign. A guy like Bregman isn't used to that. This is on my list of potential "holy shit" when the race gets called type moments if the wave gets big enough.

News agencies can cover this as much as they want — but it would be wrong not to give equal coverage to the fake “Stop Israel’s Genocide” candidate Republicans put up in my old district #NJ07 to siphon votes from a Democratic challenger.
EXCLUSIVE: CBS News chief Bari Weiss faced “significant resistance” from staff at the network’s 9am meeting this morning while discussing the growing Alaska ballot scandal as she urged reporters to dig into the story, according to sources at the meeting.

Can't tell you how smart it has been for @AnnieAndrewsMD to do a lot of conservative media. It's harder to paint her as a nut, and it's a way to reach a LOT of SC voters a Democrat wouldn't otherwise reach. She's run a damn good race.
Host: What is the most important issue in this race?
@AnnieAndrewsMD: The 2 most important issues are the affordability crisis, the cost of gas and groceries, but also the cost of healthcare in America. My number 1 priority when I'm elected will be to stop the impending Medicaid budget cuts. Medicaid is really the backbone of children's healthcare here in South Carolina. If these budget cuts go through, rural hospitals will close, tens of thousands of South Carolinians will lose their insurance. That will be my number 1 priority.
