ANTHROPIC IS CRACKING DOWN ON VIDEO GAME REWRITES 🚨 Claude Code picked up a new rule around Oct 27, sent from Anthropic’s servers under a flag called "tengu_heron_brook". There’s no setting to turn it off. The full rule: “Do build original games, games in a genre, and games from the user’s own designs and assets. Don’t build a recreation of a specific existing game, even if it is renamed or called original.” Is this the end of game rewrites, modding and everything in between?

게임이 AI로 만들어서 수준이 떨어지는 게 아니라 뭘로 했던 그냥 못 만든 겁니다. 달라진 게 있다면 예전에는 못 만든 게임을 만들기도 힘들었는데 이젠 못 만든 게임 만들기가 아주 쉬워진 것뿐입니다.

올 초엔 AI가 버그를 못잡고 헤메면 버그가 의심되는 코드를 직접 살펴보고 고치기도 했었다. 얼추 올 여름부턴 코드를 직접 들여다 볼 일이 사실상 없어졌다. 코딩이든 디버깅이든 대체로 나보다 낫다. 참고로 내 경우 어셈블리로 상용 게임을 만들고 소프트웨어 렌더링을 바닥부터 구현했었다.

Open weights models fall further behind in v5. The leader, Kimi K3.1 Pro (weights not yet released), scores 46, 12 points behind the leader, compared with a 3-point gap in v4.3. Of models with released weights, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 (max) and GLM-5.3 (max) score highest at 32, and Claude Haiku 5.5 (max) outscores all of them. The gap is widest on HLE-Diamond and Terminal-Bench-Science, where Kimi K3.1 Pro scores 37% and 34%, compared with 68% for Claude Opus 5.5 (max) and 63% for GPT-6 Astra (max).

그래픽스 프로그래머들 중에 삼각형 래스터라이저의 코드를 바닥부터 직접 작성해 본 이가 얼마나 있을까? 행여 삼각형 래스터라이저는 작성해 보았다고 해도, 거기에 실시간으로 원근 보정 텍스처매핑과 서브 픽셀 보정까지 되는 래스터라이저를 직접 만들어 본 이는 극소수일 것이다.
