They asked Gemini to plan their climb of Mount Shasta. Zero climbing experience. Gemini wrote them a confident 8-hour plan and a packing list.
They left camp at 3 a.m. with daypacks. Gemini told them to bring far less food and water than three people need up there. Climbers turn around at noon. They summited at 7 p.m.
Dark. One fell and hurt his knee. Night in a canyon. Rangers walked them out the next morning.
The Siskiyou County Sheriff called it "a critical misstep." I call it the most common prompting mistake on earth.
They asked the model for an answer. They never asked it what it didn't know.
Gemini had no idea they were beginners. No idea about their fitness, the snow that week, or how heavy a pack they could carry. It filled every gap with the average internet hiker and wrote a plan for that guy.
Same thing happens when you ask AI to write your business plan, your code, your diet, your legal letter.
The fix is one paragraph. Paste it before any high-stakes request:
"Before you answer, list every assumption you're making about me and my situation. Then list the 5 things you'd need to know to give safe, correct advice. Ask me those questions. Don't write the plan until I've answered."
Now the model tells you it's guessing. It asks about experience, conditions, constraints. The plan you get back is for you, not for the average person.
Do this once. You'll never trust a first answer again, and that's the point.
LLMs don't think. You do. Prompt like it.

There is no syncronicity within the DMK ecosystem.
If Udhay raises an issue whether in assembly, or a tweet or a press meet, for example, he asked today why CM Vijay didn't meet the sanitation workers and solve their issues.
Then from the ordinary cadre to all the MLAs should FOCUS only on this issue in as many different angles as they can.
Then that will give direction to unofficial DMK supporters to focus their time and efforts.
