Thank you, @BradRedekopp for speaking out on this important issue. The distinction between ordinary Iranians compelled to serve under an authoritarian regime and genuine IRGC members who aligned with and supported the organization is essential. At a time when IRGC supporters are openly active in our communities, we must not allow inflated numbers achieved by targeting former conscripts to create a false impression of progress in combating terrorism. Transparent screening criteria are essential to both fairness and national security. They reassure innocent families that Canada remains committed to human rights while helping ensure genuine threats are identified, and those responsible are not overlooked.
