If you want to support a solo dev from New Zealand, working his evenings away on this, keep reading..
Void Inc is in Next Fest & it's a workplace management sim with creeping horror. It's pretty good, too (and I'm not biased at all!)
Thank you all 馃

Honestly it's testing and adjusting for me every time, I choose graphics I can make easily usually and programming is a breeze for me now because I've been doing it for so long

Four gaming nuffies thought it鈥檇 be a good idea to bring back the glory days of gaming magazines.
And if reading isn鈥檛 your thing, don鈥檛 worry. It鈥檚 digital. We鈥檝e got trailers. Pictures. So you don鈥檛 even have to read a paragraph, but, I鈥檇 highly recommend it. You鈥檝e probably never read an article like it.
So if ya sitting there reading this post, stop wasting your time here and go read our magazine instead. We鈥檝e covered the best games to check out for Halloween.
Please. Our mums can only generate so many views.

Haha thank you! I think every little thing like that matters, it's all the details that people might not conciously think of, but makes a huge difference

Haha I must admit sometimes when I'm developing + making vids at the same time I do that too 馃槀
For example, in some cozy games:
Relaxed gameplay:
Good: No pressure, play at your own pace
Bad: Not enough challenge or consequences
Lots of activities:
Good: Always something enjoyable to do
Bad: Not enough time to do everything
While analysing reviews and sentiment. There's something I noticed: What makes it great in the some reviews, are the same things that are bad in negative reviews.
You can't please everyone:
Know your audience, & having the right play testers is vital.

Thank you! Yeah I have been trying to figure that one out too :)

Thank you!
The main hook is: Leave your old life behind. Bring a forgotten village back to life.
It's more of a story based cozy game, like Stardew Valley

It's like that some days for me too, don't you dare stay hovered over one by accident, X will forever think you love it

Yeah! I find I start to get used to weird/not as good things and forget about them since I'm play testing so much. A fresh set of eyes is always good. Play testers are a god-send

Nice man. It makes a lot of sense!
I did something similar in a game I'm working on but used a light/dark mode for night and day.

Haha I like to keep them separated, but there's a few really popular horror/cozy games :)
