You dream, but you also put in the work. Countless hours. Thousands of days. You keep going b/c you know. You know you have it in you. That one day your book will be on that shelf.
And then after all of it, your day finally arrives, and you see it on the shelf for the first time
Such a great night! Congrats again @jasonallison76 !!!
Great night at @TheMysterious celebrating @jasonallison76's awesome debut, THE KILLING YARDS, a noir thriller set against the 90s NYC club scene. Great turnout, incl. @jon7payne, @TR_Hendricks, @JackMurphyRGR, @alwayswithabook. Fun interview by @adrianmckinty. Check out the book!

The Kirkus Star is one of the most prestigious designations in the book industry. It is awarded to fewer than 10% of the books reviewed by the publication and signifies exceptional literary merit, outstanding quality, and high distinction.
And my first book in the Tom Clancy universe just received one. I am truly humbled and honored.

July 1935 German generals were called to a surprise assembly in Berlin and informed that their previous oath to the Weimar constitution was void and that they would be required to swear a personal oath to the Führer. Most generals took the new oath to keep their positions.
