59 years ago tonight, a small-time London crook walked into a party. He never walked out, and his body has never been found.
London, 1967. Ronnie and Reggie Kray, identical twins, ran the East End. Nightclubs, protection rackets, celebrity friends. People were too scared to talk.
Jack McVitie was a minor gangster known as "Jack the Hat." He wore a trilby everywhere to hide his bald spot.
He had taken money from the twins to do a job for them. He never did it, kept the cash, and reportedly bragged about it while drunk.
On the night of October 28, 1967, McVitie was lured to a basement flat on Evering Road in Stoke Newington with the promise of a party.
There was no party. Reggie Kray was waiting.
Reggie pointed a gun at McVitie's head and pulled the trigger. It jammed. Then he grabbed a knife.
Jack McVitie died on the floor of that flat in the early hours of October 29.
His body was taken away and never found.
But this time, there were too many witnesses. Detective Nipper Read spent months building a case. In May 1968 he arrested the twins. In March 1969 both were sentenced to life.
Ronnie died in prison in 1995. Reggie was released on compassionate grounds in 2000, just weeks before he died.
They ruled London through fear. One murder too many finally broke it.

Tonight let's talk about Hannah.
Year after year, Hannah went up with her husband, Elkanah, to worship the Lord at Shiloh. Elkanah loved her dearly, but she had no children. His other wife, Peninnah, had children, and she provoked Hannah until she wept and would not eat. Year after year. 💔
One year, after they'd eaten in Shiloh, Hannah went to the house of the Lord and poured out her heart. She prayed and wept, and she vowed that if God gave her a son, she would give him back to the Lord all the days of his life.

And the Lord remembered her. She had a son and named him Samuel, "Because I have asked him of the LORD." When he was weaned, she kept her promise and brought him to Eli at Shiloh, saying:

That little boy grew up to be Samuel, the prophet who anointed Israel's first kings. 👑

We all watched the 2020 election live on TV.

But then the swing states ALL stopped counting votes on election night. This was the first time in history that any state did this, and 7 of them did it simultaneously.

As a previous diver I can tell you putting yourself in the food chain was normal every time you went into the ocean. I never did it purposefully while the predators were knowingly around though. Playing with Orcas would not be on the menu for me. I do think it’s cool that Orcas for whatever reason don’t attack humans in the wild, it’s extremely rare.
