First confirmed Pakistani casualty in Yemen:
A Houthi drone struck a relief truck in Marib, #Yemen, killing a Pakistani driver. This comes after a Pakistani official claimed dispatching four cargo aircraft carrying military equipment and aid to government-held areas of Yemen.
It's unclear, however, if the killed Pakistani was a soldier or a civilian contractor. Either way, this is a critical development of Pakistan's direct ground presence in Yemen at the behest of the Saudis.
So far, Pakistan has deployed 30-40,000 military personnel in Saudi, since the conflict started.
There is a possibility, Saudis are using Pakistani contractors or soldiers as expendable units in their war against #Houthi rebels.

This man is a hero.
Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit.
Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers.
Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives.
Indian. Israeli. Emirati.

My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.

Last week, IMPACT-se CEO Marcus Sheff addressed parliamentarians and policymakers at the House of Lords in London and the French Senate in Paris as part of a delegation of experts on countering extremism, facilitated by @TrendsRA_
Marcus highlighted the essential role of education in preventing radicalization. He explained how extremism begins long before an act of violence, when hatred, violence and intolerance is taught, absorbed, and normalized in the classroom.
Marcus also noted the increasing importance of AI in deradicalization, particularly in creating curricula that meet standards of peace and tolerance.
