Israel needs a bicameral legislature and reform of its judiciary so, so, badly. Basically it needs an actual written constitution. I get that its political architecture was designed by a bunch of democratic socialists racing to get a modern nation on its feet while fighting enemies in all directions. But come on. This system is absurd.

Hey, everybody. The reason you can't afford your dream home is because Pedro, who carried everything that he owns on his back and walked to the USA to pick strawberries, is outbidding you. 🙄
JD, it's not "Pedro," you ignorant race baiter, it's "BlackRock" who is outbidding Americans for their dream home!

For these people, black achievement is automatically suspect, since it defies their deeply felt priors that black people (and other nonwhite cohorts) are inherently inferior.

Fox tried every little “gotcha” they could think of and @AnnieAndrewsMD held her own and knew her stuff.
She’s been to every single one of SC’s 46 counties and she is laser focused on what matters to the people, not the pundits!
PEDIATRICIAN BACKGROUND: "I’m a board-certified pediatrician... I’m also proud of the work I did in the gun violence prevention space. My role at Everytown was actually to develop a program to educate medical students on how to talk to parents about the importance of secure firearm storage... It really only took one of those tragedies to compel me to want to do something." @AnnieAndrewsMD

Reading posts by foreigners about Brazil, I get the impression that you're not aware of the full extent of the accusations against Sen. Flávio Bolsonaro, or of the available evidence of his corruption.
So I'd like to kindly invite you to really get to know Flávio. A thread 🧵🇧🇷

A Democratic Congress is going to need to fix this.
After USPS reduced mail service from some facilities, ballot-rejection rates in those regions grew to two to three times what they were for the previous midterm primary, our analysis found.

He’s a sitting U.S. Senator. Has your partisanship so completely eclipsed your sense of duty that you’d advocate in public to deny a senator from the opposing party access to the intelligence his colleagues receive?

Only if money changes hands is it unlawful.
…
There’s a rich history of candidates recruiting other candidates to run.
Whether because the Republican candidate wanted a Green candidate on the ballot.
Or because the Democratic candidate wanted a Libertarian on the ballot.
Or because one candidate wanted another candidate with same name as opponent. Or name of same ethnicity.
It’s not unlawful.
What makes it illegal is if money changes hands.

UPDATE: @RepJackBergman’s office responding to an ethics complaint and still not answering basic questions like how much he paid a donor in rent for his D.C. home and how much he pays his daughter after she bought the Capitol Hill rowhouse on a seller-financed land contract that requires no principal until 2033.
Ethics complaint raised another question: Is Bergman’s daughter paying an interest rate below the fair market rate? Not doing would be considered a gift, the ethics complaint said.
Again, Bergman’s office is mum.

In all fairness I should share that the horrible post about my dad’s death was not from Piers Morgan the journalist and tv fella.
This troll is now blocked.
It has been worth it to me though for all the numerous kind responses and lovely words about my father, whom I didn’t know. Thank you. They were really lovely and I appreciate you all.

Serving Army O5 has just about had it with those "generals" guys
Generals? What Generals?
The bar for becoming a general officer is in the fucking basement. You can see a trend in my posts as of late. I've gone full bluntness on this topic since nothing else seems to work.
We spent twenty years losing wars while rewarding the people who learned how to survive the system that was losing them. Strategic failure became “complexity.” No victory became “persistent engagement.” Nobody got fired, everyone got another star, and the bureaucracy learned the oldest trick in Washington: rename failure until it sounds like expertise.
Then came the cultural surrender.
The same generals who couldn't produce victory abroad stood almost mute while the formation was carved up at home by race, sex, identity, extremism stand downs, demographic targets, and an expanding DEI bureaucracy. They watched warfighting institutions absorb the language and priorities of academia and HR, then called the corrosion “leadership.”
That's the stunning indictment nobody wants to touch: a general is supposed to protect the formation from threats outside it and rot inside it. Too many did neither.
We promoted custodians of decline and called them strategic leaders. I'm sick and tired of having to pretend the system isn't absolutely cracked in half by people who serve themselves over the nation.
No more.

This is what an abuse of power looks like. There is no crime; they couldn’t even tell you what it would be because no one has talked about money changing hands. That’s the only possible crime.
